36、-connected household and commercial irons of the steam or dry type, with or without automatic temperature control, for voltages of 250 V and less, designed to be used in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.1.2 This Standard applies to irons intended for general househol

37、d and commercial clothes ironing use in nonhazardous locations.1.3 This Standard does not apply to toy irons or to steam-producing equipment which is not an integral part of the iron.1.4 In this Standard, “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy

46、cable to this Standard are given in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 0.4.1.2 Electrical component parts shall be of types specifically approved for the use intended or shall be investigated with, and as an integral part of, the iron.4.1.3 Electrical components shall conform to the applicable Standard of the Canadi

47、an Electrical Code, Part II that covers such components, and shall be suitable for the application.4.1.4 The maximum input rating marked on irons intended for use on a nominal, 120 V branch circuit protected by an overcurrent device rated or set at not more than 15 A shalla) not exceed 1500 W at 120

48、 V (see Clause 6.2); orb) not exceed the values listed in Table 4 under either of the following conditions:i) it is apparent from the usage of the appliance that the load presented by the appliance is not continuous; orii) the duty cycle of the appliance is marked as specified in Clause 5.3.4.1.5 Pi
