Condition monitoring is both quantitative and predictive, and therefore provides information necessary to track trends in equipment aging and to estimate the

26、t service conditions and are associated with the stressors imposed by the plants accident environment. These stressors include temperature, pressure transients, radiation, humidity, submergence, and any other environmental stressor. Accident environmental conditions result from design basis accident

27、s that impact on a wide area and cause increased stress on equipment. These conditions shall be defined. 4.4.3.2 Accident operating conditionsAccident operating conditions are a subset of the accident service conditions associated with the stressors imposed by equipment operation during a design bas

28、is accident, including any of those stressors outlined in Clause 4.4.2.2. These conditions shall be defined.4.5 Equipment requiring qualificationEnvironmental qualification of equipment shall address the equipments capability to operate in the potentially harsh conditions resulting from a design bas

29、is accident. Equipment shall require qualification if the conditions resulting from a design basis accident increase the relevant stressors. If it can be shown that the change in environmental conditions does not increase the stress on the equipment under consideration, qualification might not be re

30、quired.Annex B provides non-mandatory guidelines for threshold values of environmental stressors for which qualification is required.4.6 Documentation of EQ requirementsBased upon the identification of EQ requirements, a list of equipment shall be prepared. The list shall contain the following attri

31、butes for each piece of equipment or shall reference the source of such information:(a) equipment identification (e.g., make, model number, manufacturer, stock identification, plant system, installed location, and relevant interfaces);(b) safety function;(c) applicable design basis accident;(d) miss

32、ion times; and(e) normal and accident service conditions.4.7 Demonstration of qualificationA review shall be performed for each piece of equipment in the list prepared in accordance with Clause 4.6 to determine the need for formal qualification. In some cases there might be no known failure mode for

33、 the equipment that would prevent it from performing its required safety function. Where this can be documented, no further qualification effort is necessary. All other equipment shall be qualified as described in Clause 5. For all qualified equipment, the following shall be provided:(a) an overall

34、conclusion as to the qualification of the equipment, including limitations to the validity of the qualification;(b) identification of any installation or configuration constraint that is imposed to ensure that equipment qualification is preserved throughout the life of the plant; and(c) identificati

35、on of a qualified life and all maintenance and surveillance required to ensure that qualification is preserved throughout the life of the plant.5(Replaces p. 5, February 2005)N290.13-05 Canadian Standards AssociationOctober 20095 Establishing environmental qualification5.1 GeneralEnvironmental quali

36、fication shall demonstrate that equipment will perform its required function during and following a design basis accident, taking into consideration stressors associated with all service conditions. This requires that a method be in place to simulate those stressors that result from normal service a

37、nd accident conditions. The mere presence of an agent or stimulus is not an aging stressor; the stressor must have a demonstrably deleterious effect, given the service conditions and design life of the equipment. Specific stressors may be excluded from programs when it is demonstrated that the stres

38、sor has no impact on the required safety function of the equipment.The different methods of establishing qualification shall meet the following criteria, where applicable:(a) equipment qualification shall not extend beyond the limit of available experimental or operational data;(b) recognized analyt

39、ical and validated experimental models shall be used to predict equipment performance; and(c) simulated conditions shall be as severe as those described in the accident service conditions.Qualification methods include testing, operating experience analysis, or a combination of these methods.5.2 Qual

40、ification documentation5.2.1 GeneralFor qualification of specific nuclear-safety-related equipment, it is recommended that the equipment qualification requirements and a qualification plan be produced and accepted prior to starting the qualification process. The format and control of the document sh

41、all meet the appropriate requirements of the CSA N286 series of Standards.Depending on the selected method of qualification, other documents such as test plans and test reports may be generated by the supplier for acceptance by the purchaser. Requirements related to test plans and test reports are p

42、rovided in Clauses 5.3.4.2 and 5.3.4.3.5.2.2 Equipment qualification requirementsPlant-specific technical specifications for environmental qualification shall include the following, where applicable:(a) details of aging stressors resulting from normal environmental conditions, including temperature,

43、 pressure, radiation, humidity, and any other aging stressor. (b) details of aging stressors resulting from normal operating conditions, including voltage, current, frequency, load, wear, air pressure, inlet and outlet temperature and pressure (for valves), and any other aging stressor;(c) details o

44、f in-plant configuration, including mounting orientation (i.e., horizontal or vertical supports) and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic interfaces;(d) a description of control, indication, and other auxiliary devices required for proper operation;(e) functional requirements under the defined norma

45、l and accident service conditions;(f) required qualified life for the equipment or maintenance intervals for specific components, or both;(g) seismic qualification requirements;(h) the required sequence of seismic and harsh environmental condition testing;(i) details of aging stressors resulting fro

46、m accident environmental conditions, including temperature, pressure, radiation, humidity, chemistry, and any other aging stressor;(j) details of aging stressors resulting from accident operating conditions, including voltage, current, frequency, load, operational cycles, air pressure, inlet and out

When this occurs, an ongoing qualification

49、 program may be implemented. This may be achieved by the use of one or more of the following methods:(a) Aging simulations and testing of identical equipment or components is continued during the qualified life period of the installed equipment.(b) Sample equipment is installed in an environment similar to that in which qualified components are installed. This equipment is removed before th
