This Standard is

5、 an adoption of the identically titled ANSI/TIA (American National Standards Institute/ Telecommunications Industry Association) Standard 568-B.2-5-2003 and is the product of the Telecommunications Industry Association TR-42 Technical Committee, which included a number of Canadian members in order t

6、o ensure that Canadian perspectives and requirements were addressed. It is written in SI (metric) units with yard/pound (imperial) units in parentheses. This Standard has been adopted with no technical deviations. Where code requirements or regulations necessitate changes from US to Canadian referen

7、ces, they should be made by the user, as follows: (a) Throughout this Standard, replace the term “American” with “Canadian”, as applicable. (b) Throughout this Standard, replace the term “state” with “provincial or territorial”, as applicable. (c) Throughout this Standard, replace “NEC” with “CE Cod

8、e, Part I” (Canadian Electrical Code), as applicable. In addition, (i) where reference is made to “conduit”, replace it with “conduit/EMT” (electrical metallic tubing) because, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, EMT is not considered a type of conduit; and (ii) the definitions

9、of the following terms are to be taken from the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I: “Bonding”, “Ground”, and “Raceway”. (d) Throughout this Standard, where reference is made to “FCC”, replace it with “CRTC” (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission), or “Industry Canada”, as applica

10、ble. (e) The following Standard, published by the Canadian Standards Association, is an adoption of a TIA/EIA Standard. These revisions are identified in the following text with additions shown in bold italics and deletions shown as strikeout. Other paragraphs in

37、 the clause, or in TIA/EIA-568-B.2 that are not shown remain the same. 2 CLAUSE REVISIONS D.5.2 Applicability For the purposes of this Standard, a modular test plug consists of short lengths of solid or stranded UTP twisted-pair conductors with a modular plug terminated on one end. Modular test plug

38、s may be constructed from cross-connect (patch) and equipment cords. Clause D.7 specifies a systematic termination procedure that may be used to manufacture a set of plugs likely to satisfy the modular test plug requirements of clause D.6.10 D.5.10. D.5.8 De-embedding reference jack NEXT loss measur

39、ement Measure the NEXT loss of the de-embedding reference plug mated to the de-embedding reference jack for all 6 pair combinations as shown in figure D.8. 40、st plugs that complies with clause D.6.10 D.5.10, to perform connecting hardware testing. It is acceptable to obtain these test plugs by cutting them from the ends of production patch cords. Because of the variation in production cords, and the large number of plugs that might be required to obtain
