10、inspection Acceptance inspection of broaching tools shall be based on this standard. Tools may be rejected in the case of non-compliance. 4 Material and hardness 4.1 Material Broaching tools shall be made of high-speed steel, the grade being subject to agreement or at the manufacturers discretion. 4
11、.2 Hardness Broaching tools shall conform to the hardness requirements given in the figures below. 5 Workmanship Broaching tools shall be free from all surface irregularities resulting from manufacturing or improper handling (e.g. deformation, surface discontinuities, abrasive residues, chatter mark
12、s, scratches, flash, alterations to material structure due to localized overheating during grinding). Tail ends (cf. DIN 141 7-2 to DIN 141 7-4, and DIN 141 7-6) shall not be provided with guiding (locating) marks. 6 Requirements 6.1 Toothing characteristics 6.1.1 Form of teeth The form of teeth and
13、 chip spaces (tooth gullets) shall be as specified in DIN 141 6. 6.1.2 Face angle The face angle, y, for flat (.e. square or rectangular) broaches is subject to limit deviations of I1 O, and that for round broaches to limit deviations of I2“.
