2、ut as the decimal marker. 1 Field of application This standard specifies the chemical composition of semi-finished products made from titanium. See DIN 1737 Part 1 for filler metals for welding titanium. 2 Designation Titanium covered in this standard shall be designated using the material designati
3、ons or material numbers listed in table 1. Example: Titanium identified by symbol (material designation) Ti2 or material number 3.7035 shall be designated: Titanium DIN 17850 -Ti2 or Titanium DIN 17850 -3.7035 3 Chemical composition 3.1 Ladle analysis The chemical composition of titanium as determin
4、ed by ladle analysis shall be as given in table 1. 3.2 Product analysis The limit deviations in the product analysis from the limiting values specified for the ladle analysis are given in table 2. 4 Semi-finished products Table 3 correlates titanium semi-finished products to grades, those commercial
5、ly available being marked x and those manufactured on request only, marked (x). For specification of the properties of semi-finished products,see the standards referred to in the respective column head. 5 Chemical analysis The elements listed in tables 1 and 2 shall be determined quantitatively usin
6、g recognized methods.To permit comparison of the results with the limiting values given in this standard,each value obtained shall be given to the same decimal place as that of the limiting value, using the rounding rules described in DIN 1333 Part 2. 14、the chemical composition as determined by ladle analysis have been brought into line with the state of the art. b) Amounts bywhich the chemical composition as determined by product analysis may deviate from the limiting valuesspec- ified for the ladle analysis have been included for the first time.
15、c) Symbols to designate the titanium grades (e.g.Til.Ti2) have been specified. d) The text has been editorially revised. e) Low alloy titanium alloys are now specified in DIN 17851 and titanium castings, in DIN 17865. 16、um alloys has been restructured.The chemical composition of these materials is now dealt with in DIN 17850 and DIN 17851. the technical delivery conditions for semi-finished products such as tube,plate. sheet and strip being given in DIN 17860 to DIN 17863, and DIN 17866. DIN 17865 now covers titani
17、um and titanium alloy castings and DIN 17864, forgings. It has been agreed to make the following amendments to DIN 17850 and DIN 17851. a) DIN 17850 covers unalloyed titanium only. Symbols have been introduced to identify the titanium grade, but these do not, unlike the designation of aluminium grad
18、es, indicate the level of purity. b) The scope of DIN 17851 has been extended to include ten further alloys,a distinction being made between low alloy and high alloy grades. c) In both standards, separate specifications have been given for the chemical composition as determined by ladle and by product analysis.
