A distinction is to be made, as afunction of the design and arrangemen

In the case of linear retention, the panel edges are usually secured in a metal surround, the panel then being fixed on not less than two sides. In the case of localized retention

15、, panels are fixed by means of clips or screws and clamping plates located at corners and, where further support is necessary, in the middle of the side lengths. 3.3 Requirements for fixings 3.3.1 General For all types of fixing, it shall be ensured that: a) edge clearance between rebate and panel i

Where panels are supported on sealing strips, these shall be at least4 mm thick and located on both sides of the panel. 3.3.2 All-round retention In the case of panels retained on all sides, the depth of en- gagement shall be not less than 10mm. 3.3.3 In the case of panais reta

For testing purposes, the panels and fixings shall be subjected to loading at right angles to the panel surface, to simulate suction and pressure. On the basis of at least ten tests, the cause of any type of failure (e.g

30、 The flexural strength of safety glass panels shall be deter- mined in accordance with DIN 52 303 Part 1. Test pieces shall be prepared in accordance with the principles of sta- tistical analysis (e.g. originating from different production days or different tempering ovens). The results of testing s
