The standard specifies requirements for the design, selection of materials, test m
4、ethods and working forces. The information from Table 1 applies to all other dimension
29、s with the exception of b1, b2and r. 5 Requirements 5.1 Material Round steel link chains shall be manufactured from a material selected by the manufacturer to comply with the requirements of this standard (at least 23 MnNiCrMo5-2, material No. 1.6541 according to DIN 17115). Materials with deviating
30、 chemical compositions shall be agreed when placing the order. 5.2 Manufacture The weld shall be produced by a resistance-butt or flash-butt welding process and shall be positioned in the centre of a leg of the link. The weld shall be smoothly finished all round. 5.3 Heat treatment The complete roun
31、d steel link chain shall be hardened from a temperature range above the Ac3point with subsequent tempering in order to fulfil the specified mechanical properties. 5.4 Hardness Hardness 350 HV10 to 390 HV10 / 345 HBW10/3000 to 385 HBW10/3000 (ISO 18265 conversion 1 097 MPa to 1 220 MPa B.2 HV/HB). De
32、viating hardness values are possible for special types of round steel link chains and shall be agreed. DIN 22252:2012-07 10 5.5 Dimensions After completion of the production process of the round steel link chains, the dimensions shall be within the tolerances specified in Table 1. In addition to Tab
33、le 1, Table 2 also applies to matched long chain strands (twin-inboard chains). The values from Table 3 which deviate from Table 1 apply to matched short chain strands (outboard chains). The weld diameter dsshall not be more than 2 % less than the diameter measured adjacent to the weld and shall not
34、 exceed it by more than 3 %. The weld length a shall not exceed the dimension 0,7 d. 5.6 Mechanical properties After heat treatment, the complete round steel link chain shall be subjected to a manufacturing proof force which corresponds to at least the values of the test force TF specified in Table
35、4. The upper limit of the manufacturing proof force shall not exceed the test force value TF by more than 15 %. The elongation at test force shall not exceed the value specified in Table 4. The breaking force BF shall reach at least the values specified in Table 4. The ultimate elongation A shall no
36、t be less than the value specified in Table 4. The bend deflection f shall not reveal any cracks or other visible defects. For round steel link chains of nominal size 26 mm with a tensile strength of 1 097 MPa Rm 1 220 MPa, the base material in the leg and in the curve of non-aged normal samples wit
37、h a V-notch shall exhibit a notched-bar impact energy of 57 J at room temperature as the average value of three samples per material batch used, whereby none of the individual values shall be below 70 % of the stipulated average value (40 J). In the fatigue test, at least 70 000 cycles shall be achi
38、eved per sample under the forces specified in Table 5. 41、 Any deviating surfaces shall be agreed when placing the order. The round steel link chains shall be free from surface cracks and notches which impair their usability. 6 Tests 6.1 General The tests shall be carried out following a visual assessment of the total quantity. With the exception of the di
42、mension test, these tests will be destructive component tests on samples of the finished round steel link chains taken lot by lot with a natural black surface finish. Due to the change in friction behaviour in the interlink contact area of corrosion-protected or bright round steel chain links, the b
43、reaking force values and ultimate elongation values shall be deemed to meet the requirements if the breaking force is at least 90 % and the ultimate elongation is at least 80 % of the respective values for the natural black round steel link chain of the same nominal size. The scope of tests covers t
44、he dimension test according to 6.4, the tensile test according to 6.5, the bending test according to 6.6 and the hardness test according to 6.7. Any further tests, such as the pendulum impact test according to 7.1 or fatigue test according to 7.2, shall be agreed when placing the order. 6.2 Lot size
45、 A single lot comprises a manufacturing unit of 100 m or 100 chain strands provided these are not longer than 1 m. Any started manufacturing unit is deemed to be a single lot. DIN 22252:2012-07 12 6.3 Sampling 6.3.1 The samples for the tensile test, the bending test, the pendulum impact test, the fa
46、tigue test and hardness test are to be taken from the ends of the chain strands. The samples shall be dry and free from grease. 6.3.2 For the dimension test on the individual round steel chain link, three links shall be randomly selected from a single lot. For the dimension tests on matched short ch
47、ain strands according to Table 3, one chain strand shall be randomly selected from a single lot. 6.3.3 For the tensile test, one sample shall be taken from each lot, so that five round steel chain links are subjected to the tensile loading after being clamped. 6.3.4 For the bending test, two individ
48、ual round steel chain links shall be taken from each lot. 6.3.5 For the hardness test, one round steel chain link shall be taken from the total quantity manufactured. 6.3.6 For the pendulum impact test, three individual round steel chain links shall be taken from five lots. 6.3.7 For the fatigue test, three samples shall be selected from five lots. They shall be of sufficient length to ensure that, after clamping, each of the three round steel chain links can be subjected to the fatigue stress. 6.4 Dimension test 6.4.1 Testing of the round steel chain links T
