11、998-12, 2012-09 DIN 2353:2013-01 4 1 Scope This document is applicable to complete non-soldered pipe fittings with a compression ring (ferrule) und union nut according to DIN EN ISO 8434-1, that are provided with a short tapered stud end or male stud end according to DIN 3852-1 and DIN 3852-2. This
12、standard gives an overview of the types and dimensions of compression fittings and couplings that are assembled from standardized parts and are not covered in DIN EN ISO 8434-1. It can be used to select fittings and determine the size of assemblies. NOTE Standard design straight stud ends are covere

NOTE Tightness cannot be guaranteed, since this is a function of the medium conveyed, the wo
19、rking pressure and temperature, and the combination of materials used. Depending on the application, it is therefore recommended that taper stud ends with a seal be used. The fitting given in the designation in Example 2, for instance, may be supplied with a type A st
41、ud end (A) of thread size G A (G ), in which case the designation shall read: Fitting DIN 2353 DS 12 A G St 4 Materials The standard material of compression fittings shall be steel, as specified in DIN 3859-1. Other materials specified in DIN 3859-1 shall be the subject of agreement, and the relevan
42、t symbol appended to the standard designation. DIN 2353:2013-01 12 5 Design features 5.1 Ports and compression ends 24 degree cone connector according to DIN EN ISO 8434-1. Compression ends shall conform to DIN EN ISO 8434-1. 5.2 Stud ends 5.2.1 Male stud ends d1Type A Sealed by washer (see DIN 3852
43、-1 and DIN 3852-2, type A). 5.2.2 Taper stud ends d2 Type C Joint made pressure-tight on the thread. Threaded end as in DIN 3852-1 or DIN 3852-2. 5.3 Surface protection The requirements relating to surface protection can be specified in accordance with VDMA 24576 or DIN 50979. The information shall
44、be appended to the designation according to this standard. 6 Technical delivery conditions The technical delivery conditions specified in DIN 3859-1 shall apply.
