Since the tightnessof flanged joints is vital to
23、 the joint performance and given the inaccuracy involved in bolt tightening, a flangedassembly is to be analysed in each particular case. The design of nozzles as specified in this standard is based on DIN EN 1591-1, assuming the following:a) the internal pressure increases by 10 % in service (if noz
24、zles are exposed to external loads, separateanalysis is to be made);b) the flange thickness values are based on the characteristics of expanded graphite gaskets;c) the rectangularity of flange faces is as specified in AD-Merkblatt B 8;d) the characteristics for flange materials (grades S235JRG2 and
25、X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2; cf. DIN EN 1092-1)are those specified in the relevant AD-Merkbltter of series W;e) the bolts used are of property class 5.6;f) the maximum permissible temperature is utilized;g) the scatter involved in bolt tightening is 30 %.The strength of reinforcement of vessel openings shall be analysed on a case-by-case basis. It should be noted that bolt tightening may cause local plastic deformation which is, however, limited by theassembly relaxing.
