Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of t

Amendments This standard differs from DIN 28034:2005-06 as follows: a) the title has been changed; b) normative references have been updated;

9、4 1 Scope This standard applies to weld neck flanges for pressure vessels. General requirements for flanges are specified in DIN 28030-1. Tolerances (limit deviations) for flanges are specified in DIN 28030-2. DIN 28031 covers weld flanges for unpressurized vessels. DIN 28033 covers weld flanges for

14、pes of inspection documents 3 Dimensions and designation 3.1 General Figure 1 shows a weld-neck flange with a type A facing and weld preparation for a single-V butt weld. Other weld preparations shall be agreed between the buyer and the manufacturer. Dimensions and masses are specified in Table 2. D

15、IN 28034:2013-09 5 Figure 1 Weld-neck flange, shown with a type A facing (notation) 3.2 Finish The following requirements apply to the finish. a) Facings shall be as in DIN EN 1092-1. b) Other surfaces are to be machined, with Ra 25; c) Bolt holes are to be bored. Other finishes shall be agreed betw

16、een the buyer and the manufacturer. 3.3 Facings Facings are shown in Table 1. Flanges are to be supplied either with a machined facing or with a machining allowance as in 3.4. 17、e Type B1 Raised face Type C Tongue Type D Groove Type E Spigot Type F Recess DIN 28034:2013-09 7 3.4 Machining allowances Where a machining allowance (e.g. for facings, spot facing) is necessary, the buyer shall state this in the order to the flange manufacturer. These allowances include: the heigh

18、t of the raised face for type B1 facings; the height of the tongue for type C facings; the height of the spigot for type E facings; the depth of the recess for type F facings; where appropriate, an allowance for spot facing. Machining allowances shall be selected so that the facing profile can be ma

19、nufactured without difficulty even where there is the expected warping due to the welding process. Other machining allowances shall be agreed between the buyer and the flange manufacturer.
