、) (Chemical Apparatus Standards Committee) in DIN. Manhole closures are normally components of a pressure vessel. Manufacturers of such pressure vessels are to ensure compliance with the essential safety requirements of the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (e.g. as per the German AD 20

、00 Pressure Vessel Code). The special conditions for access openings as laid down in the Gefahrstoffverordnung (GefStoffV) (German Hazardous Substances Ordinance) BGR 117-1 and AD 2000 Merkblatt A 5 including Annex 1 are to be observed. DIN 28124 Manhole closures consists of the following: Part 1: F

、or unpressurized vessels Part 2: For pressure vessels from steel Part 3: For pressure vessels, covered Part 4: Swivel devices Amendments This standard differs from DIN 28124-3:1992-12 as follows: a) the title of the standard has been changed; b) pressure/temperature ratings have been brought into li

、ne with DIN 28036; c) symbols have been brought into line with DIN EN 1092-1 and with DIN 28036, where relevant; d) surface data have been brought into line with DIN 28036; e) welded joints are in accordance with DIN EN 1708-1; f) material requirements have been changed; g) references to material st

、andards and component standards have been updated; h) the standard has been editorially revised. This standard differs from DIN 28124-3:2010-09 as follows: a) in Table 4 values for d1and C1have been corrected in accordance with DIN 28036. Previous editions DIN 28124-3: 1971-07, 1975-08, 1989-03, 199

、2-12, 2010-09 DIN 28124-3:2013-07 4 1 Scope This standard applies to manhole closures1)(“closures”, in the following) for pressure vessels made of alloyed and unalloyed steels and lined with stainless steel. The closures are built into pressure vessels that are mainly used in process engineering. Al

、ternative designs or materials are to be agreed between purchaser and manufacturer. The closures can be used under the operating conditions as specified in Table 1 (according to DIN 28036 and DIN EN 1092-1). Verification may be necessary depending on the design and in consideration of the operating

、conditions. As a rule, manhole closures are designed on the basis of the process vessel-flange system (DIN 28030-1) used. Manholes of nominal size DN 500 (PN rating 10 and PN rating 16) and DN 600 (PN rating 10) can also be designed on the basis of the pipe-flange system (DIN EN 1092-1); this could

、lead to higher masses. NOTE On principle, the individual components of closures in accordance with DIN 28124-2 and DIN 28124-3 can be combined (example: nozzles of 1.4541 steel according to DIN 28124-2 can be combined with a cover of material P265GH and a lining of 1.4541 steel as in DIN 28124-3). 2
