It includes recommendations for materials to be used. 2 Scope This standard is intended to specify concepts, require- ments and methods of test for the assessment of complete clip connections and theircomponents. it is also intended to ens

11、ure that reproducible test results are achievedif clip connections and the associated tools are manufactured by different manufacturers. In order to avoid placing restrictions on manufacture, no attempt has been made to specify the manufacturing process or the tools to be used. 3 Concepts The concep

12、ts used in this standard are equivalent to those established in I EC 50 Part 581. 3.1 Insertion tool For the purpose of this standard, an insertion tool is a tool, which, once the conductor has been introduced into it, simultaneously completes insulation and pushes the clip and conductor onto the cl

13、ip post (subsequently referred to simply as post). 4 Designation 3.2 Extraction tool For the purposes of this standard, an extraction tool is a tool used to remove a clip from a post. Figure 1. 18、plied with or without locating hole. 5 Ratings 5.1 Climatic rating The selection of the climatic category for clip connections is primarily determined by the spring characteristics of the clip (see subclause 6.4.5). 19、Electrical rating (current-carrying capacity) The current-carrying capacity shall be determined as specified in DIN 41 640 Part 3. Note. The current-carrying capacity of a clip connection is a function of the properties of the clip, the post and the connected conductor. 5.3 Mechanical strength The m

20、inimum pull-off strength of the connection shall be determined by applying a pull-off force (see subclause 6.4.6.1 ). a b 0,90: copper-tin alloys; copper-nickel -zi nc al I oys; copper-beryllium alloys; nickel-copper alloys. Vickers hardness: 150 HV 30 to 220 HV 30, determined in accordance with DIN

21、 50 133. 6.1.2 Surface finish The surface of posts is not required to be provided with a particular finish. It may however be provided with a protective coating. The following finishes shall be deemed suitable for this purposes: nickel-plated; layer thickness: 0,75 8 pm; galvanized, preferably hot-d

22、ip galvanized; layer thickness: 2; pm; gold-plated; maximum layer thickness: 0,3 bm. The coatings shall adhere securely and be clean, smooth and free from blisters and swelling. Where an electrotinning process is used, care shall be taken to ensure compatibility with the base material, to avoid whis

23、ker formation. The surface roughness, Ra, shall be between 0,8 pm and 0.2 pm, as specified in VDI/VDE 2601 Part 1. automatic wiring of circuits. 7- I b Figure 2. 29、 of insertion. The tolerance on parallelism of the non-contacting surfaces shall not exceed the values of tb specified in table 4. 36、per wire. See DIN VDE 0881 for tolerances. 6.2.1 Materials, surface In accordance with the requirements shown in table 8, wires and stranded wires complying with DIN VDE 0881 are recommended for clip connections, except for types 7Y, Li7Y, YV 4Y and LiY 4Y wires complying with DIN VDE 0881, and FEP

37、two layer insulation wires. Note. It is recommended that suitability testing be carried out in the case of elevated operating temperatures before certain materials are used. Conductors which are made of materials other than E-Cu 58 F 21 complying with DIN 40 500 Part 4 may be used for clip connectio

38、ns, the thermal and metallurgical properties and compatibility with the material of the post and clip being a determining factor. They shall be tested in accordance with the full test schedule. 6.2.2 Diameter Suitable conductor nominal outside diameters and the allocation of these to the posts are l

39、isted in table 8. The tolerance on the diameter of conductors shall be selected in accordance with the clip and the insertion tool. Table 8. 41、e provided with a protective coating. The following finishes shall be deemed suitable for this purpose : - nickel plated; minimum layer thickness: 0.75 pm - tin plated, preferably hot-dip galvanized; minimum - gold, plated; maximum layer thickness: 0,3 bm. The surface coatings shall adhere securely

42、and be clean, smooth and free from blisters and swelling. Cut edges may be bright. Where an electrotinning process is used, care shall be taken to ensure compatibility with the base material, to avoid whisker formation. The surface roughness, Ra, shall be between 0,8 pm and 0.2 pm (as specified in V

43、DI/VDE 2601 Part 1). 6.3.3 Design and dimensions The design of clips shall be such that - it is possible to displace the clip in the longitudinal direction (see subclause 6.4.2); the location of the wire or 7-stranded wire in the clip and the spring behaviour of the clip shall not be altered by this

44、 displacement, nor shall the insulation be damaged; - the clip encloses the post symmetrically when pushed on or down; layer thickness: 2 pm - the distance specified in subclause 6.1.3.2 between neighbouring clips is maintained; - the clips do not exceed the dimensions specified in table 9 after the

46、d in accordance with the tool manufacturers instructions. 6.4.1 Dismantling of clip connection A clip connection may be dismantled by bending the clip by means of the extraction tool. The clips are damaged in this procedure and shall not be used again. A new connection may be made on the post with a

47、 new clip, although it is not recommended that the stripped end of the conductor be used again. 6.4.2 Displacement of clip It shall be possible to slide a clip in the longitudinal direction of the post by the distance s = 2 X (L7 + s2). in accordance with subclause 6.1.3.2. The requirements specifie

48、d in subclause 6.4.3 and subclause 6.4.8 shall continue to be fulfilled. Note. It is necessary to be able to slide the clip in order to accomodate new clips by freeing the upper part of the post when there are changes in the wiring circuit. 6.4.3 Contact zone of clip connection After conditioning in

49、 a test atmosphere as specified in subclause 7.5 and removal of the clip, there shall be a colour contrast between the contact zone and the remainder of the surface. The zone of the surface which has not been discoloured (contact zone) shall at least correspond to the cross-sectional area of the connected conductor. 6.4.4 Assembly clip connection Only one conductor shall be connected with one clip. The clip connection shall not exceed the dimensions specified in table 9. The wire or 7-stranded wire shall be passed completely under the clip and shall be clearly visible at the
