Dimensions in mm 1 scope This Standard applies to circular saw blades for wood- working, made of tool steel (solid steel circular saw blades), other than circular grooving saw blades and so- called hollow-g
3、round circular saw blades. 2 Dimensions The dimensions of circular saw blades are to be taken from the saw blade Standards valid in each case or other technical documents. Tolerances and surface finish of circurlar saw blades are contained in the following Table, cf. also the adjacent Figure. r I l

6、Group symbol WS -or alloyed - Group symbol SP (special steel) - according to the safety requirements of DIN 8085. Usual materials according to DIN 8085 Supplement. 3.2 Hardness Rockwell hardness 44 to 52 RHC. The differences in hardness must not exceed 5 RHC within the same cir- cular saw blade. The
7、 hardness of a circular saw blade is to be determined at at least 5 places. In the case of circular saw blades of more than 3.5 mm thickness and circular saw blades with a pitch of less than 8 mm, the hardness can be less than that indicated, so as to ensure that it is possible to set the blade. 4 F
8、inish Circular saw blades must be uniformly straightened, tensioned, preset and pre-sharpened. Circular saw blades for portable circular saws are supplied already set and sharpened. Unless otherwise agreed, circular saw blades which have to be set before use will be given a uniform setting (half- se
9、tting) of 0.4 to 0.7 mm on either side as a preliminary setting. N o t e : The prelininary setting is primarily a test of setting capacity. The final setting is carrie out by the actual user according to the requirements. Circular saw blades of 225 mm up to 710 mm outside diameter, surfaceground or
10、smooth-ground at the manu- facturers discretion. If the customer requires a particular finish, this should be indicated (“pl“ for surface-ground or “bk“ for smooth-ground). The designation for, say, a circular saw blade of outside diameter d, = 315 mm, thickness s = 1.6 mm, hole d2 = 30 mm, surface-

In IS0 Standard 2935-1974 the tolerance zone for the central hole is optionally H9 or H11. In this Standard the tolerance of H8, which has long been used in practice, is retained.
