19、5 Designation5.1 Standard designationDesignation of wide flats in accordance with this standard shall give the following details, in this sequence: product designation (wide flat steel); number of this standard (DIN 59200); name or material number of the steel grade; nominal thickness, in millimetre
20、s, and thickness tolerance class (A or B).EXAMPLE:Designation of a wide flat made from grade C35 (1.0501) steel, with a nominal thickness of 10 mm, andsubject to a class A thickness tolerance:Wide flat DIN 59200-C35-10AorWide flat DIN 59200-1.0501-10A5.2 Ordering designationThe ordering designation
21、for steel products as specified in this standard shall be based on subclause 4.1.Designation for an order of 30 tonnes of hot-rolled wide flats in accordance with this standard, with a nominalthickness of 15 mm and a nominal width of 800 mm, subject to a class B thickness tolerance, in exact lengths

30、250 mm can also be ordered.7.2.2 The maximum limit deviation for width is t 2 % of the nominal value, but no more than t 10 mm. Smallertolerances shall be by agreement.7.3 Length7.3.1 Unless a specific length has been ordered, supply shall be in manufactured lengths of 2000 mm to12000 mm, at the sup
31、pliers discretion.7.3.2 The customer may specify lengths when ordering, provided that the range of the length ordered is at least500 mm (e.g. 3000 mm to 3500 mm).7.3.3 If exact lengths (e.g. 3300 mm) are ordered, the nominal length may be exceeded by up to 200 mm.Smaller deviations from the nominal
32、length may be agreed, and should preferably be based on values of 50 mmand 25 mm. Lengths supplied shall not be less than the nominal length.7.4 Mass7.4.1 Table 3 gives the permissible deviations in mass for wide flats made of the same steel and of the samenominal size, supplied in exact lengths.7.4

In the case of thicker steel, the maximum deviation from
39、 flatnessshall be subject to agreement.7.7.2 The maximum deviation from flatness over a length of 1000 mm (see subclause 8.7) shall be 7 mm in thecase of normal flats, and 3 mm in the case of flats with reduced flatness tolerance (S).7.7.3 The maximum deviation from flatness over the full length, l1
40、(see subclause 8.7), shall be0,007 l1, but no more than 20 mm, in the case of normal flats,0,003 l1, but no more than 10 mm, in the case of flats with reduced flatness tolerance (S).7.8 RectangularityThe maximum deviation from rectangularity, u (see figure 3), shall be 5 mm for widths, b, of 500 mm
41、or less and0,01 b for widths greater than 500 mm.Figure 3: Deviation from rectangularity, u8 Testing for dimensional accuracy8.1 Thickness shall be determined at a point at least 20 mm from the side faces of the product.8.2 The variation in thickness across the width shall be determined along a line
42、 running perpendicular to thelongitudinal axis of the product, with the measuring points being at least 20 mm from the longitudinal edges andat least 100 mm from the ends of the sheet or bar.8.3 Width shall be measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the product.8.4 Product length, L, shal
43、l be the length of the largest rectangle within the area of the product.8.5 Deviation from square-edgedness shall be determined on the basis of figure 1.8.6 Deviation from straightedgedness shall be determined by measuring the greatest distance between alongitudinal edge and a straight line joining
44、the two ends of the measuring distance, with the measurement beingtaken on the concave side. A section of 50 mm at each end shall be excluded from measurement (see figure 2).8.7 Deviation from flatness shall be determined by laying the product on a flat horizontal surface so that it restsfreely unde
45、r its own mass. Deviation from flatness shall be measured as the maximum distance between the flatand the surface, or between the flat and a straightedge 1000 mm long.8.7.1 Deviation from flatness across the width shall be determined by means of a line perpendicular to thelongitudinal axis of the pr
46、oduct, with measurements taken across the width.8.7.2 Deviation from flatness over length shall be determined along a line parallel to the longitudinal axis of theproduct, at least 400 mm from the end in the case of normal flats and at least 200 mm from the end in the caseof those with reduced flatn
47、ess tolerances.8.3 Deviation from rectangularity shall be determined as shown in figure 3.9 MaterialWide flats in accordance with this standard shall generally be made from a steel grade as in DIN EN 10025,DIN 10028-1, DIN EN 10028-2, DIN EN 10028-3, DIN EN 10083-1, DIN EN 10083-2, DIN EN 10084,DIN EN 10089, DIN EN 10113-1, DIN EN 10113-2, DIN EN 10113-3, or from steel conforming to thespecifications of the Schiffbau-Klassifikationsgesellschaften. Other steel grades may be used by agreement.The requested steel grade shall be stated in the designation when ordering.
