、tle Means of packaging Cylindrical beverage containers comprising: Part 1: Allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume up to 60 litres Part 2: Allowable operating pressure up to 7 bar, nominal volume up to 50 litres Part 3: Allowable operating pressure up to 3 bar, nominal volume greate
、r than 100 litres Part 4: Disposable pack with allowable operating pressure up to 4 bar, nominal volume up to 60 litres Amendments This standard differs from DIN 6647-4:2004-04 as follows: a) the scope has been extended to include an allowable operating pressure up to 4 bar; b) the requirement for t
、he marking of containers has been more generally formulated; c) the requirement for volume constancy has been redefined; d) a safety requirement for excess pressure reduction after emptying is now included; e) the pressure is no longer increased during the volume constancy test; f) the dimensional s
、tability test is now performed with a higher load; g) the pressure stability test is now called the burst strength test and the test procedure has been changed; h) individual specifications relating to marking have been reformulated. 14、 This part of DIN 6647 applies to containers for beverages and syrup (referred to below as “packaged substance”) consisting of several parts (e.g. upper body, cylindrical casing, lower body) that are joined by means of a suitable method. It applies for allowable operating pressures up to 4 bar and n
、ominal volumes up to 60 l. The containers are used as disposable packaging in beverage dispensing systems. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. Inliners (fill
、ing bags) and coatings are permissible. Evidence shall be provided as validation that these materials are physiologically harmless. Each container shall be provided with a unique marking that enables the material batches used at the manufacturers premises to be traced. 5 Type 5.1 General Containers
、can have different design types. A design type exhibits the same structural features. 5.2 Hygiene 5.2.1 Parts coming into contact with the product shall only be manufactured, treated or placed on the market in such a manner that the product is not exposed to the risk of an adverse effect upon direct
、 use after manufacture, and with all due diligence. In the case of containers without a foil or film insert (without inliner), the inside of components in contact with the packaged substance shall be designed so that they are easy to clean, any contamination is easy to remove and liquids drain compl
、etely. In particular at weld seams, radii and transitions, the design shall ensure that no cleaning agent or disinfectant residues remain behind after cleaning and disinfection. The test shall be performed according to Clause 7. 5.2.2 The container inner surface shall be suitably designed so that an
、y impairment to the packaged substance is prevented by the container. 6 Requirements 6.1 Pressure resistance When tested according to 7.3, the container shall withstand the test pressure and the functionality of the container shall remain ensured (i.e. it shall be leaktight, stackable, transportable
、 and allow tapping of the contents). 6.2 Dimensional stability 6.2.1 After testing for dimensional stability according to 7.4.1 and 7.4.2, the functionality of the container shall remain unaffected. 6.2.2 On application of a concentric vertical pressure load on the container socket according to 7.4.
、3, no permanent deformation shall occur which would adversely affect the anticipated use of the container. 6.2.3 The functionality of the container shall remain unaffected after a single drop test of the filled container in accordance with 7.4.4. 6.3 Burst strength The excess pressure shall be safel
、y reduced by the design or a safety element when subjected to a pressure no more than 5 times the operating pressure. This can be achieved by the design of the container or a special safety element. The test shall be performed according to 7.5. DIN 6647-4:2011-11 6 6.4 Recyclability All materials of
、 the container shall be provided with a marking in accordance with the provisions of the applicable recycling legislation. The individual materials shall only contain substances of the types indicated in the marking. The individual parts of different recyclable materials shall be easy to separate fr
、om one another. 6.5 Safety The container shall be designed so that it automatically reduces the excess pressure after emptying and knocking off and consequently remains depressurized. 7 Testing 7.1 General Compliance with the requirements specified in Clause 6 shall be demonstrated in accordance wit
、h 7.2 to 7.6. The tests according to this standard are carried out as type tests and shall be performed on the largest container of a design type. The tests shall be documented by the manufacturer according to the requirements specified in this standard. 7.2 Procedure 7.2.1 If a container fails a te
、st, a further three containers shall undergo this test. If a container fails again, the test is deemed not to have been passed. 7.2.2 Excess pressure measuring devices (manometers) according to DIN EN ISO 5171 shall be used for all pressure measurements. The range of indication shall be 20 bar for t
、he tests according to 7.3. The maximum allowable uncertainty of measurement is 10 ml for volume determination and 0,2 mm for length measurement. 7.3 Pressure resistance The container shall be exposed once to a test pressure at least 1,5 times the operating pressure for 1 min at room temperature (20
、C 2 C). 7.4 Dimensional stability 7.4.1 A force of at least 2 kN shall be exerted vertically from above on the upper stacking surface of the empty container for 1 min. 7.4.2 The full container shall be subjected to a load as described at 7.4.1, but with a force of at least 4 kN for 1 min. 7.4.3 The
、empty container shall be placed on its standing surface and a vertical force of 3,0 kN shall be exerted from above on the socket for 1 min. 7.4.4 A single drop test shall be conducted on a full container, with a drop height of 1,2 m. The rotational position of the container may be selected as desire
、d. DIN 6647-4:2011-11 7 7.5 Burst strength For type testing, the container with a safety function is to be tested completely filled with water. It shall be subjected to a test pressure up to a maximum of 5 times the operating pressure. The test shall be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20 C
、2 C. The pressure in the container shall be continuously increased at a rate of at least 1 bar/min but no more than 2 bar/min. The container shall remain leaktight until the safety function triggers. The burst pressure without safety function shall be at least 1,5 times greater than the maximum resp
、onse pressure of the safety function. 7.6 Hygiene Compliance with the requirements for the hygienic design of all components which come in contact with the packaged substance according to 5.2 shall be verified by checking the geometric design of the container in accordance with DIN 10502-2. 8 Markin
、g Containers which have been type tested according to this standard shall be legibly and permanently marked as follows: a) manufacturers name or trademark; b) year of construction; c) serial number of the manufacturer; d) allowable operating pressure in bar; e) unique identification that ensures tra
