6、_. material, design and workmanship of inward opening hinged, pivoted, top or bottom hung and tilt and turn windows, and of window doors the profiles listed in tables 1 and 2, It also specifies the resulting light dimensions and durability classes. Proof that profiles are fit for use shall be provid

7、ed in cases where they deviate from the specifications of this standard. Profiles may generally be deemed suitable if they comply with DIN 18055, although in some cases further tests may be necessary. 2.11 single window or window doo, A single window or window door is a window or door with or withou

8、t opening lights, designed to be fitted with single glazing or insulating glass units. 21.2 Doublewindow orwindowdoor A double window or double window door is a window or door with two frames superimposed in the same wall opening. General principles relating to the design of wood 2.1.3 Coupled windo

A coupled window or window door is a window or window door made up of an inner and outer light fixed together and rotating about the same axis. 11、hich open separately. 2.2 Symbols Single windows and window doors with single glazing are identified by the symbol EV, single windows and window doors with insulating glass units by the symbol IV and coupled windows and window doors with single glazing or insulating glass units by the symbol DV. 2.3

12、 Window parts 2.3.1 Window frame A window frame (also termed perimeter frame) is a frame which is installed in the structure of a building 2 I 3 4 B Figure 1 : Principle of window design (front view)*) 4 and into which lights or glazing are in turn fixed. The components making up the frame are the j

13、ambs (item no. l), head (item no. 2), sill (item no. 3), mullion (item no. 4) and transom (item no. 5). 2.3.2 Frame of opening light The frame of an opening light is attached to the win- dow frame or a larger light. The parts making up the frame of a light are the stiles (item no. 6), top rail (item

18、erence moisture Dimensions relate to a moisture of timber of between 11 and 15 % relative to the dry mass. NOTE: The reference moisture content is the moisture content at which standard profiles are required to have standard dimensions, these being measured at the time of assembly. The moisture of t

19、he components as dispatched from their place of fabrication is specified in DIN 18 355. The dimensions in the diagrams are nominai dimen- sions. 3.3.2 Design features The following clause specifies the profile sections of windows and window doors together with their durability classes as a function

20、of their opening mode and light dimensions. Where lights are side hung or tilt and turn, the maxi- mum light width is a function of the durability class as specified in DIN 18 055. Lights 1100 mm or more in width or height require to be secured twice. Top or bottom hung lights 2000 mm or more in wid

21、th require to be secured twice, unless an alternative is provided by the hardware manufacturer. Lights which are only occasionally opened in the side hung mode (e.9. for cleaning), and which are of large width relative to their height, are permitted provided that their dimensions are within the rang

22、e marked *) in the following figures. The durability classes specified are based on glass having a mass equal to 25 kg/m2. Where glass with a greater mass is used (such as for sound insulation pur- poses), proof shall be provided that the hardware is correctly fixed and is of adequate loadbearing ca
