The elec- trical deviation of + 3% takes into account the differing full-load slip of motors of different manufacturers and different power output, which wries within limits of 3.5 to 6 %. For calculating the gears, the limiting values in columns 7 and 8 should be complied with, values 355, 710, 1410 and 2820 being used for the on-load motor speeds. For practical operation the limiting values in columns 9 and 10 apply. Continued on pages 2 and 3

Since the speeds, as preferred numbers, are powers of the common ratio cp, the transmission ratios also are powe

19、rs of cp and can be determined by simple addition or subtraction of the exponents on the basis of the rules for calculating with exponents using the adjacent Table 2. It is therefore advisable only to use the preferred numbers for the speeds of all shafts in a gear system. Column 1 of Table 2 contai

20、ns the exponents x for common ratio ip = 1 .O6 (series R 40). Column 2 contains nominal values i = 1 : 1 to 10 : 1 for transmission ratios (i. e. for stepdown ratios) for calculation. The numerator is the xfh power of the common ratio cp. For larger transmission ratios, for each decimal range, the e

21、xponents should be increased by 40 since ip40 = 10. For transmission ratios i = 1 : 1 to 1 : 10 etc. (i. e. for step-up ratios) the same exponents are used with negative sign. Column 3 gives the precise values of the transmission ratios for calculation of the teeth numbers so as to permit rounding u

The simple calculation method using exponents can be seen from the follow- ing examples: 1. Given: Stage transmission ratio il
