17、he atness tolerance given in table 3.The parallelism tolerance for side faces shall be six times the relevant value for the atness tolerance given in table 3 for working faces.5.2.3 Perpendicularity toleranceThe tolerance on the perpendicularity of side faces to working faces, in reference to the de

18、pth, h, of the straight-edge shall be three times the relevant value for the atness tolerance given in table 3 for working faces.5.3 BevelsWorking faces may have a 0,5 mm bevel.Page 4DIN 874-1:2003-115.4 MaterialSteel straightedges shall be of alloyed steel of a grade either selected by the manufact

19、urer alone or in agree-ment with the customer.5.5 FinishWorking faces shall have a suitable nish.NOTE: Tolerance class 2 straightedges normally have working faces which are precision-ground, while class 00 and 0 edges are additionally scraped or lapped. Class 1 faces are scraped, if precision grindi

20、ng alone does not ensure that tolerances are met.6 Verication6.1 Flatness Deviations from atness shall be determined using a suitable material measure. The straightedge under test shall be supported at the points at which deection is lowest. Figure 3 shows these points for a straightedge of constant

21、 section.NOTE: Gauge blocks as in DIN EN ISO 3650 or measuring pins as in DIN 2269 are suitable supports.Figure 3: Support points for lowest deection6.2 ParalellismDeviations from paralellism may be determined using the support system described in subclause 6.1.6.3 Proof of conformanceProof of conformance with this standard shall be provided in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14253-1.
