4、 Foreword This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Auengewinde of the Normenausschuss Mechanische Verbindungselemente (Fasteners Standards Committee). The DIN 4000-160-5 tabular layout of product properties shall apply to studs covered i

5、n this standard. Amendments This standard differs from DIN 940:1995-02 as follows: a) the standard has been editorially revised; b) the scope of the standard has been rendered more precise; c) values for ds(diameter of unthreaded shank) have been specified (see Table 1 and Figure 1); d) the technica

6、l delivery conditions have been updated; e) by analogy with DIN EN ISO 225, symbols b1, b2und x1have been replaced by bm, b and x; f) a further example of designation has been added; g) tolerance class Sn 4 is now included in Table 2;. h) the recommendation to give preference to studs complying with

7、 DIN 949-2 has been dropped, as the standard was withdrawn in March 2009. 8、1 Scope This standard specifies dimensions and technical delivery conditions for sizes M4 to M24 coarse pitch thread and M8 1 to M24 2 fine pitch thread studs, with a thread length at the stud end of approximately 2,5 d, of product grade A. Studs complying with this standard are intended for use mai

The zone between the continuous stepped lines indicates the range of commercial sizes of studs with coarse pitch

21、thread. Studs of sizes above this range cannot be manufactured with a length b as specified in the Table. In such cases, thread length b shall be approximately equal to l (x + 3 mm). For sizes above the dashed line, b + x 1,2 bm. To distinguish between the two ends, the nut end of these studs shall

22、be rounded (i.e. given an RN type thread end) as in DIN EN ISO 4753, unless its end face is already marked with the property class. 4 Technical delivery conditions See Table 2.
