9、locknuts. Locknuts according to this standard, in combination with DIN 5406 lockwashers and locking clips, are primarily used for adapter sleeves conforming to DIN 5415. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. The nut thread shall be countersunk on both sides at 90 to 120 to the minor diameter. 4 DIN 981:2009-06 4.2 Types A

This standard differs from the above International Standard in the following aspects: a) Tables 1 and 2 of this standard show dimensions and symbols for locknuts. b) The dimensions of locking elements, lockwashers and locking cli

39、ps are given in a separate standard (see DIN 5406). c) The standard also contains specifications for materials and tolerances. d) Figures 3 and 4 show details of mounting lockwashers and locking clips.
