、 February 1996 edition. DIN 74324-1 : 1978-08, 1987-07, 1991 -1 O. Dimensions in mm 1 Scope and field of application This standard specifies requirements and methods of test for single-ply tubing of polyamide (as in DIN 73378) for use in the air braking systems of road vehicles and trailers (cf. def
、initions in DIN 7001 O). The polyamide materials covered by this standard (cf. clause 6) are resistant to ageing under normal service conditions (i.e. the working pressures and temperatures specified in tables 2 and 3), and, when not under pressure, for three hours at 125 “C. This standard does not
、apply to tubing connecting trailers to the tow vehicle. The mounting of tubing on vehicles is dealt with in DIN 74324-2. Continued on pages 2 to 6. In preparing this standard, other national standards and s
、pecifications were consulted. A materials identifcation test was not included, as the materials which may be used for tubing in accordance with this standard are specified. Although the test for resistance to UV radiation specified here does serve to determine the resistance of the tubing material u
、sed, it does not provide information regarding the service life of the tubing itself. Any paints, varnishes or solvents used should be tested for compatability with the tubing material to ensure that the tubing is not damaged.
