This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 232 “Compressors, vacuum pumps and their systems” (Secretariat: SIS, Sweden). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschu

5、ss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-07-01 AA Vacuumpumpen of Section Vakuumtechnik. Representatives of manufacturers and users of vacuum pumps, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard contain

6、s specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential

7、requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The Eu

8、ropean Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. 32、ing systems. The standard lists the significant hazards associated with vacuum pumps and specifies safety requirements applicable to the design, installation, operation, maintenance and dismantling of vacuum pumps during their foreseeable life and subsequent disposal. The scope does not include pump

33、s designed to pump continuously on open systems where the pump inlet pressure is above 75 kPA (750 mbar) absolute, i.e. vacuum cleaners, ventilation fans). Vacuum pumps intended for use in special applications shall also comply with any specific standards relating to those applications. 2 Normative
