Page 3 EN 10279 : 2000 1 Scope This European Standard specifies requirements for the tolerances on dimensions, shape and mass of hot-rolled steel channels with tapered flanges 01- parallel flanges. These requirements do not apply to channels produced from stainless steel. 2 Normative referen

16、ces This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references. subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these

17、publications apply to this European Standard only when incorporated in it by amendment or revision. For undated references the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. EN 10079. Definition of steel produrty 3 Definitions For the purpose of this Standard the definitions given in EN 1007

18、9 apply. 4 Tolerances on dimensions and shape 4.1 Section height (h) The deviation fi-om noininal on section height (h) shall be within the tolerance given in Table 1 for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channels. Height is measured over the web. 4.2 Flange width (b) The de

19、viation from nominal on flange width (b) shall be within the tolerance given in Table 1 for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channels. 4.3 Web thickness (s) The deviation from nominal on web thickness (s) when measured at the mid-height position of the web, shall be within

20、the tolerance given in table 1 for tapered flange channels and in table 2 for parallel flange channels. 4.4 Flange thickness (t) The deviation from nominal on flange thickness (f), when measured at a distance of b/2 from the toe of the flange. shall be within the tolerance given in table 1 for taper

21、ed flange channels and in table 2 for parallel flange channels. 4.5 Heel radius (r.?) The radius of the heel radius (r3) shall not exceed 0,3r where t is the flange thickness. 4.6 Out of squareness (k + kl) and web bow (f) 4.6.1 The out of sqiiareness of the section (k + k,) shall not exceed the max

22、imum given in table 1 for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channels. 4.6.2 The web flatness (fi shall not exceed the values given in Table 1 for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channels. 23、aightness (qrr or qfl) shall conform to the requirements given in Table 1 for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channels. 5 Mass The deviation between the effective value and the nominal value of the mass per unit length shall comply, for any piece, with the requirements giv

24、en in Table I for tapered flange channels and in Table 2 for parallel flange channel s.
