6、ttee CEN/TC 198 “Printing and paper machinery Safety” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-23-01 AA Druck- und Papier-maschinen of Section Druck

7、- und Papiermaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers of paper making and finishing machines, and of the employers liability insurance association for papermakers contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machi

8、nery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC (valid until 28 December 2009) and the new “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which took effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to paper making and finishing machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This st

9、andard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirement

10、s of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous s

31、ituations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. For machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard, the following stipulation applies: when provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are sta

32、ted in type A or B standards or from provisions made in !EN 1034-1:2000+A1:2010“, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards. 1 Scope This European Standard applies to pulpers and their loading facilities intended for use in paper making and sha
