National foreword This standard includes safety requirements. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 142 “Woodworking machines S

5、afety” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 060-06-01 AA Sicherheit of Section Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen. This standard contains specifications meet

6、ing the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to double end tenoning and/or profiling machines fed

7、 by chain or chains that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmoniz

8、ed” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in clause 2 and in the Bibliography of this standard have been published as the corresponding DIN EN o

38、ide one means of conforming to the essential safety requirements of the Machinery Directive, and associated EFTA regulations. This document is a type C standard as stated in !EN ISO 12100-1:2003“. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events covered are in

39、dicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this C type standard take precedence over the provisions of other standards, for machines that have been designed and built in accordan

The requirements of this document are directed to manufacturers and their authorised representatives of double end tenoning and/or profiling machines fed by chain or chains. 42、o double end tenoning and/or profiling machines fed by chain or chains, hereinafter referred to as the machine, designed to cut solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard or plywood and also these materials where they are covered with plastic laminate or edgings. The workpiece is fed passed the tools by an i

This document does not deal with any hazards relating to: c) mechanical loading of the w
