5、uirements. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 153 “Machinery intended for use with foodstuffs and feed” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), W

6、orking Committee NA 060-18-04 AA Grokchenmaschinen of Section Nahrungsmittelmaschinen. Stakeholders were involved in the development of the standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the new “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, an

7、d which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “ha

8、rmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of the EN have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or

9、 DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 12854:2003-09 as follows: a) the title of the standard has been changed; b) Clause 2 “Normative references” has been updated; c) the standard has been brought in line with the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC;

DIN EN 12854:2010-12 EN 12854:2003+A1:2010 (E) 5 1 Scope 1.1 This European standard specifies the safety and hygiene requirements for the design and manufacture of beam mixers. Beam mixers are used in the catering industry for the p

30、reparation of mixture or emulsion, directly in the cooking pan, such as for: puree, mayonnaise, sauces, soups, compotes. !This European Standard deals with the hazards which can arise during commissioning, operation, cleaning, removal of food blockages, feeding, changing the tools, maintenance and d

45、ficant hazards, hazardous situations and events, as far as they are dealt with in this European Standard, identified by risk assessment as significant to this type of machinery, and which require action to eliminate or reduce the risk.“ 4.2 Mechanical hazards 4.2.1 Access to the danger zones Mechani

46、cal hazards arise from contact with the rotating tool (see Figure 1, item 9 and 3.1.7). 49、fering with safety arrangements of other machines. 4.4 Hazards generated by neglecting hygiene in machine design 4.4.1 Hazards to the operator Hazards from the food being processed, e.g. inhalation of flour, sugar, and from the cleaning agents used to disinfect the machine. 4.4.2 Hazards to the consumer Inability to clean food and splash areas effectively and thoroughly. Contamination of the food by undesirable materials
