6、European Standards referred to in this document have been published as DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for thermoplastic tunnel and covering films in the agricultural sector, including their resistance to weathering (UV stabi

Annex B of this standard describes an empirical correlation from a comparative study between natural exposure and artificial weathering and an accelerated labo

8、ratory test at an irradiance of 0,35 W/(m2nm) at 340 nm. For practical reasons, this standard also enables the testing of the UV resistance of the plastics in a Xenon arc test apparatus with an irradiance of 0,51 W/(m2nm) at 340 nm as is customary in other test standards, or with UV fluorescent tube

9、s or metal halide lamps as alternative light sources. The material degradation of polymers commonly induced by the UV portion of the radiation is a complex, multi-stage process, and each change of the testing scenario can influence the individual degradation stages to a varying degree or even change

10、 routes of degradation in general (see indications in DIN EN ISO 4892-1:2016-10, Clause 4 and Annex A). The comparative study is to be considered as material-specific and is not necessarily applicable to all types of film. The empirical correlation between the differentlight sources described in thi

The change inthe irradiance or the use of different filter types to simulate solar radiation in Xenon devices can have an influence on the correlation as well as the use of alternative light sources and is ideally supported by an individ

Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 13206:2001-07 as follows: a) normative references have been updated; b) a minimum thickness of the film has been specified; c) test methods have been updated accordingly; d) this revision also specifies test methods for the determination o

13、f the chlorine and sulphur contents of used films and defines guidelines for their installation, use and disposal; e) the classification according to the durability of the covering films has been extended to include an additional class; f) the standard has been editorially revised.
