13、kets made of textile materials. It also specifies the method of checking these dimensions and of marking them on the blankets. The standard does not apply to: a) fitted covers, b) electric blankets, the heating qualities of which derive essentially from an electric element rather Ulan hm any texile
14、material, c) bedspreads, divan spreads, cuntinental quilts and travelling rugs (quilted or unquiitsd, filled or unlled, lined or unlined) the characteristi CS of which differ from those defined in clause 2, d) textile articles that, although similar in nature to bed blankets, are not bed blankets in
15、 end use, for example rugs, sheets, protective sheets and underblank b) the type of constituent fibres and the method of assembly when the article is made fkom an unraised material. 22、g If the delivery is less than lo00 blankets, 1 % of the number (with a minimum of 3 blankets) shall be taken at random for testing. If the delivery is more than loo0 blankets, 10 blankets shall be taken at random from the first loo0 and then two hm each successive loo0 blankets. 6.2 Conditioning Th
23、e blankets taken for checking shall be conditioned by leaving UKm for at least 48 h in an atmosphere of relative humidity (65 f 2) % and temperature (20 f 2) OC. 63 Test procedure Atter conditioning, each article shall be laid out Straight and untensioned on a smooh flat surface. Any creases and fol
24、ds shall be removed and the dimensions then detennuied inthe following manner, using a rigid gmhaed rule. Measure the length along one side, along the other side and midway between the two sides. The length is given by the mean of these three values obtained. Measure the width in the same manner as
