European Standard EN 1993-1-8 allows national safety parameters, referred to as Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs), to be specified for a number of points. The NDPs cover alternative verification methods, the p

NCI re 3.1.1 Galvanized bolts Only complete bolt assemblies with elements (bolts, nuts and washers) originating from one an

29、d the same manufacturer shall be used. Hot dip galvanized bolts of property classes 8.8 and 10.9 and the associated nuts and washers shall only be used if they have been galvanized either at the manufacturers works or by a third party under the responsibility of the manufacturer. Other types of meta

30、llic protective coating may be used provided that their compatibility with steel is ensured, hydrogen embrittlement is precluded and proof of adequate tightening characteristics is provided. Electrogalvanized bolts of property classes 8.8 and 10.9 shall not be used. DIN EN 1993-1-8/NA:2010-12 6 NOTE

31、 1 Electrogalvanizing is another example of a metallic protective coating. It may only be used as the sole means of corrosion protection where bolts are intended for use in dry rooms (cf. corrosion class C1 as in DIN EN ISO 12944-2). NOTE 2 See DIN 267-9 for further information regarding the prevent

32、ion of hydrogen embrittlement. NDP re 3.1.1(3) Note The use of bolts of property classes 4.8, 5.8 and 6.8 is not permitted in structural steelwork. NDP re 3.4.2(1) Note For tightening bolted connections of categories B and C using a preloading force Fp,C= 0,7 fubAsand of category E using the full pr

33、eloading force, the combined method according to DIN EN 1090-2 is to be used. For preloading as a quality assurance measure and for partially preloaded connections of category E, a preloading force up to Fp,C* = 0,7 fybAsmay be used, which may be applied using one of the methods described in Annex A

34、. For securing an assembly against working loose, a preloading force equal to 50 % of Fp,C* is normally deemed sufficient. NCI re 3.5 Blind bolted connections The following specifications apply to assemblies of sizes up to M100. For bolted connections which are not a bolt-nut assembly (e.g. connecti

35、ons using threaded rods and threaded blind holes), the engagement depth may be considered to be adequate if the ratio of engagement depth to external thread diameter satisfies at least the following condition: = (600/fu,k) (0,3+0,4fu,b,k/500), and if fu,k fu,b,k. In the above, fu,k is the characteri

36、stic tensile strength of the component with an internal thread, in N/mm; fu,b,k is the characteristic tensile strength of the component with an external thread, in N/mm. NOTE 1 A more accurate determination of the engagement depth (e.g. that of threaded rods) for blind bolted connections may be carr

37、ied out in accordance with VDI-Richtlinie (VDI Guideline) 2230. NOTE 2 Tightening of bolts as part of the design in blind bolted connections is only permitted if experimental-based verification is provided. For bolted connections which are not a bolt-nut assembly, the specifications relevant to bolt

38、ed connections with bolt-nut assemblies apply as appropriate. NCI re 3.13.1 Bolted connections made with studs Threaded studs and shear connector studs as specified in Table NA.1 shall be used. Threaded studs and shear connector studs not conforming to Table NA.1 shall be analysed as described in DI

39、N EN 1090-2:2008-12, 5.6.12. When determining the design resistance of joints using threaded studs and shear connector studs, the characteristic material strength values specified in Table NA.1 shall be used. 42、with a and t expressed in mm. If the welding conditions permit, the condition under (NA.1) need not be satisfied; however, for a plate thickness, t 30 mm, a should not be less than 5 mm. NOTE Compliance with (NA.1) ensures that the cross sections of the weld and of jointed elements are compatible (c

Where the components have the same cross-sectional shape at the splice, differing dimensions of cross sections due to the tolerances specified may be ignored. For case c) in Figure NA.1 this only applies if both components originate from the same
