Foreword This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-51-06 AA Erdbeben; Sonderfragen (SpA CEN/TC 250/SC 8) of the Normenausschuss Bauwesen (Building an
、d Civil Engineering Standards Committee). This document is the National Annex to DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12, Eurocode 8: Design of structures for earthquake resistance Part 5: Foundations, retaining structures and geotechnical aspects. European Standard EN 1998-5 allows national safety parameters, referr
、ed to as Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs), to be specified for a number of points. The NDPs cover alternative verification methods, the provision of individual values and the selection of classes from designated classification systems. The relevant parts of the text are identified in the Euro
、pean Standard by references to the possibility of national choice and are listed in NA.2.1. This National Annex also includes non-contradictory complementary information (NCI) for the application of DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12. This National Annex is an integral part of DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12. DIN EN 1998-
、5:2010-12 and this National Annex as well as DIN EN 1998-1:2010-12 and DIN EN 1998-1/NA:2011-01 supersede DIN 4149:2005-04, which has already been withdrawn. Amendments This document differs from DIN 4149:2005-04, which was withdrawn in December 2010, as follows: a) a number of provisions from DIN 4
、149:2005-04 have been incorporated and are to be taken into account when applying DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12 nationally. Previous editions DIN 4149: 1981-04, 2005-04 DIN 4149-1: 1981-04 DIN 4149-1/A1: 1992-12 DIN EN 1998-5/NA:2011-07 3 NA.1 Scope This National Annex contains national provisions relating
、to the requirements, criteria and rules for the siting and foundation soil of structures for earthquake resistance, that are to be taken into account when applying DIN EN 1998-5:2010-05 in Germany. This National Annex is only valid in conjunction with DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12. NA.2 National provisions
、for the application of DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12 NA.2.1 General DIN EN 1998-5:2006-03 refers to the option of choosing Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs) at the following places in the text: 1.1(4) Informative Annexes A, C, D and F; 3.1(3) Partial factors for material properties; 4.1.4(11) Upper st
、ress limit for susceptibility to liquefaction; 5.2(2)c) Reduction of peak ground acceleration with depth from ground surface. In addition, NA.2.2 contains non-contradictory complementary information for the application of DIN EN 1998-5:2010-12. This information is preceded by the letters “NCI”. 1.1

、nex NA.D is applied. (2) The simplified design rules given below may be used for simple conventional buildings and simple retaining structures instead of the more detailed provisions laid down in DIN EN 1998-5. (3) The following conditions must be satisfied to enable the simplified design rules to b
、e applied: a) The site of the structure and the supporting ground shall be free from any particular risks in the event of an earthquake, such as slope instability, settlement, earth pressure on one side of the structure only or due to liquefaction or seismically induced compaction of the soil. b) Th
、e ground shall not consist of deep, uncompacted loose deposits (e.g. loose sand) or soil of soft or semi-fluid consistency (e.g. lacustrine clay, silt; the dominant shear-wave propagation velocities are lower than 150 m/s) and there are no other unfavourable ground conditions (scree, loose deposits,
、 etc.) present. (4) The simplified design described in this annex may be used for conventional buildings of importance classes I to III with a maximum of six storeys and a maximum height of 20 m above the average measured ground level and for simple retaining structures with a maximum supporting hei
、ght of 4 m and a ground inclination of less than 10. (5) The provisions of DIN EN 1998-5 shall apply to any applications not dealt with explicitly in this annex. NA.G.2 Ground investigations (1) It is not necessary to carry out any further specific ground investigations in addition to those required
、 for designs for non-seismic actions if this annex is applied. NA.G.3 Verification of structural stability (1) The provisions of DIN EN 1997 shall be applied when verifying the structural stability of the foundations of simple structures and simple retaining structures for combinations of actions in
、 accordance with DIN EN 1998-1. In such cases, the limitations in DIN EN 1997 or in the associated calculation standards with regard to the general applicability of the verification methods to seismic load situations do not apply. (2) The structural stability of the foundation elements shall be veri
、fied. DIN EN 1998-5/NA:2011-07 6 (3) The verification under the combinations of actions defined in DIN EN 1998-1 includes: a) verification of the adequate load resistance of the actual foundation elements (e.g. footings, strip foundations, slabs, piles etc.) in accordance with the provisions of DIN
、EN 1998-1 relevant to construction materials and the standards specific to such constructions; b) the relevant verifications for simple retaining structures in accordance with DIN EN 1997. (4) The actions defined in Annex E shall apply to simple retaining structures. (5) A maximum of 30 % of the nom
、inal characteristic passive earth pressure shall be used in verifications of the safety against sliding. (6) Raking piles are to be avoided as far as possible in seismic zones 2 and 3. Where the design includes raking piles, verification of the load resistance shall be provided, taking account expli
、citly of the deformation of the foundation soil and the resulting effects on the piles. NOTE When verifying the resistance of pile foundations, it shall be taken into account that soft soils deform considerably when subjected to horizontal inertia forces resulting from seismic action. Not only will
、the pile foundations be unable to support the piles in such situations, they may even subject the piles to additional loads. When horizontal ground displacements occur, raking piles will not only bend but will also be subjected to high additional normal forces that may, in certain circumstances, lead to failure. (7) DIN EN 1998-1:2010-12, 4.4.2.6 and 5.8.1, shall be taken into account if the verifications are performed on the basis of capacity design considerations.
