4、s standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 146 “Packaging machines Safety” (Secretariat: UNI, Italy). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Section Verpackungsmaschinen. This standard

5、 contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to packaging machines t

6、hat are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus

7、, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in clause 2 of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number.

8、For the International Standards referred to in this standard there are no national standards available. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 415-7:2006-10 as follows: a) Subclause 5.5.5.2 “Requirements to prevent hazards from falling products” has been completely revised. b) In subclause 7.1

9、 “Markings”, a new item “c) designation of machinery” has been included. c) In subclause A.9 “Information to be reported”, under item j), last indent, “85 dB” has been replaced with “80 dB”. d) In the key of Figure C.1, item 6 “fixed guard” has been replaced with “interlocking guard”. e) Annex ZB (i

46、g machines are used extensively in Europe, in an increasingly wide range of industries. They contain several significant hazards and have the potential to cause serious injury. This document is a type C standard as defined in the Introduction of EN ISO 12100-1:2003. The machinery concerned and the e

47、xtent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provis

48、ions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. EN 415-7:2006+A1:2008 (E) DIN EN 415-7:2009-12 71 Scope This European Standard applies to the following groups of machines: Group and secondary packaging machines and the

49、collating systems associated with them. The individual machines are described in 3.2 of this European Standard. This European Standard deals with safety requirements for machine design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, adjustment, maintenance and cleaning of group and secondary packaging machines.
