This European product standard specifies requirements for multi-sensor fire detectors Point detectors using a combination of smoke and heat sensors for use in fire detection and alarm systems permanently installed in buildings (referred to in German as “B
9、MS” and “BMA” equipment). The system requirements and technical application rules for fire detection and fire alarm systems complying with this standard are specified in DIN 14675 and DIN VDE 0833-2 (VDE 0833-2). Certification of conformity of these products with the requirements specified in this E
10、uropean Standard is based on conformity evaluation of the products carried out by “Notified Bodies” in accordance with the EU Directive No. 305/2011 (see Annex ZA). It should be noted that, in Germany, smoke detection and the corresponding activation of fire protection dampers are to meet the requir
11、ements for building inspectorate approval by the Deutsches Institut fr Bautechnik (DIBt) (German Building Institute).
