16、supplier in providing the correct material: a) the number of this European Standard (EN 610); b) the designation of the tin grade required (see table 1); c) the individual nominal mass of the ingots; d) e) whether a specific ingot shape is required (see 4.2); f) conformity is required (see clause 7)

Clean the sample ingots by scratch brushing the surface, using the steel wire brush (B.2.1). Then use the soft brush (B.2

33、.2) to remove any loose or detached surface contaminants. B.3.3 Sawing th8 sample ingots Saw each sample ingot individually by the following procedure. Clamp the ingot in the vice of the hacksaw (B.2.3). Make three sawcuts through the complete cross-section of the ingot at sites one-quarter, two-qua

34、rters and three-quarters of the length L of the ingot, collecting all the resulting sawings (see figure B.l a). clean the sawings thoroughly in the degreasing solvent (B.2.5). Remove any free iron with the magnet (B.2.4). If any oil is likely to be present, NOTE 1: The two outer sawcuts should not b

If any sample ingot has end lugs which are longer than one-quarter the length of the ingot, the two outer sawcuts should be made closer to the centre-cut, such that the full cross-section of the ingot is sampled see figure B.lb) J. NOTE 2: Do not use lubrica

36、nt in making the sawcuts, except where experience shows it will not vitiate sampling. NOTE 3: If the ingots are of a size, or shape, which is such that the procedure described is not practicable, then an appropriate, systematic sawing procedure should be followed, which in cases of dispute should be

37、 agreed between the disputing parties. In this procedure the pattern of sawcuts should be made through the full cross-section of each sample ingot. The sawings so produced should be sufficient to provide an aggregate analysis sample of minimum mass 100 g which is representative of the whole batch of

38、 ingots. Repeat these procedures for each of the sample ingots. Combine and mix all the sawings, to give a sample of sawings representative of the whole batch of ingots.
