5、dard is 1 September 2010. National foreword This standard includes safety requirements. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 144 “Tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France), Working Group WG 4 “Portable machines and pedestrian controlle

6、d machines”. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Section Landtechnik. Amendment of the European Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN 709:1997+A2:200

7、9, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC (valid until 28 December 2009), and the “revised Machinery Direc

8、tive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which took effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of these directives. Once this standard is

9、 cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 of this docu

10、ment have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. This standard makes reference to documents which were valid as of the publication of the European Standard. Since then, the standards EN 292-1:1991, EN 292-2:1991 and EN 292-2:1991/A1:1995, EN 294:1992

11、, EN 563:1994, EN 1033:1995, EN 1553:1999, EN ISO 3767-1:1995, EN ISO 3767-3:1996 and the International Standard ISO 5805:1981 have been withdrawn. EN 292-1:1991 has been superseded by EN ISO 12100-1:2003 and EN ISO 12100-1:2003/A1:2009, EN 292-2:1991 and EN 292-2:1991/A1:1995 have been superseded b

12、y EN ISO 12100-2:2003 and EN ISO 12100-2:2003/A1:2009, EN 294:1992 has been superseded by EN ISO 13857:2008, EN 563:1994 has been superseded by EN ISO 13732-1:2006, EN 1033:1995 has been superseded by EN ISO 20643:2005 and EN 1553:1999 has been superseded by EN ISO 4254-1:2005. EN ISO 3767-1:1995 an

13、d EN ISO 3767-3:1996 have been withdrawn without replacement and ISO 5805:1981 has been superseded by ISO 5805:1997. The DIN Standard corresponding to CR 1030-1:1995 is DIN V 45695:1996. DIN EN 709:2011-06 3 Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 709:2000-03 as follows: a) Functional and opera

14、tional requirements for the controls of the movement of the machine and of the tool have been modified (5.5). b) Requirements for brakes for pedestrian controlled tractors with mounted rotary cultivator have been added (5.11). c) Requirements for the tool stopping time have been added (5.15.1). d) R

15、equirements for the maximum travel speed have been added (5.16). e) Annex ZA (informative) “Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential Requirements of EU Directive 98/37/EC, amended by Directive 98/79/EC” has been revised. f) Annex ZB (informative) “Relationship between this Europ

In addition, machines shall comply as appropriate with EN 292 for hazards which are not dealt with and especially with Annex A of EN 292-2:1991/A1:1995 when EN 292 does not give precise requirements. 1 Scope This European Standard specifies safet

39、y requirements and testing for design and construction of, pedestrian controlled tractors with mounted rotary cultivators with the cultivator rotating axis horizontal and perpendicular to the direction of motion of the machine, motor hoes and motor hoes with drive wheel(s), all as used in agricultur

40、e, forestry, landscaping and gardening (including amenity use). It describes methods for the elimination or reduction of risks arising from their use. In addition, it specifies the type of information to be provided by the manufacturer on safe working practices. This European Standard does not cover

41、 the requirements to fulfil national road traffic regulations such as lights, steering and braking. Environmental aspects have not been considered in this standard.
