This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 202 “Foundry machinery Safety” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation wa

6、s the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-04-03 AA Form- und Kern-herstellungsmaschinen of Section Gieereimaschinen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of moulding and coremaking machinery, and of the employers liability insuran

7、ce associations contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This st

8、andard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirement

9、s of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of this document have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. For the International Standards referred to there are no n

10、ational standards available, except for the following: ISO 3864-1 similar to DIN 4844-1 Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 710:1998-01 as follows: a) the standard has been revised in form and substance (e.g. Clause 3 “Terms and definitions”); b) the requirements of the new “Machinery Direc

31、IN EN 710:2010-10 EN 710:1997+A1:2010 (E) 4 Introduction !This European Standard is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisions

32、of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. Where for

33、 clarity an example of a preventive measure is given in this European Standard, this should not been considered as the only possible solution. Any other solution leading to the same risk reduction is permissible if an equivalent level of safety is achieved.“ 1 Scope This standard specifies safety re

34、quirements to be met by the manufacturer for machines and plant used in foundries for the production of castings in disposable models. It takes into account the foreseeable significant hazards due to design, construction and installation that may occur during commissioning, operation, maintenance an

35、d decommissioning. It specifies preventative measures and verification means for the elimination or reduction of these hazards. It specifies requirements for information to be provided by the manufacturer to the user on safe operation and maintenance. This standard applies to the following equipment

36、: Machinery and plant constructed to condition and/or reclaim foundry sands; Moulding machinery and plants; Coremaking machinery and plants; Knock-out equipment; Other directly associated equipment. The foreseeable significant hazards covered are listed in clause 5 and include: Mechanical hazards, m

37、ovement of machinery and workpieces, ejection of material, of liquids and gases, inadequacy of the mechanical strength; Explosion, fire, exothermic reactions; Contact with hot parts, gases and flames; Noise and vibration; Thermal heat radiation and conduction; Harmful by-products, poisoning, polluti
