This document (EN 81-72:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 10 “Lifts, escalators and moving walks” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its

6、 preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering), Working Committee NA 060-33-01 AA Aufzge of Section Aufzge und Fahrtreppen. Representatives of manufacturers and users of lifts, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed t

7、o this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Lifts Directive”, Directive 95/16/EC, and which apply to lifts that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of c

8、ompliance with the essential requirements of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presum

9、ption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of the EN have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 81-72:2003-11 as follows: a) the term “safe area” (3.9) i

10、s used in place of “lobby” to be consistent with CEN/TS 81-76. The two terms are interchangeable; b) elements dealing with building design have been revised and a new informative annex on the building interface has been included; items to be considered in the use of pressurization of lift wells have

11、 been added including the noise level at the fire communication points; c) the requirement for a firefighters lift to serve every floor of the building has been deleted; the floors to be served are assumed to be determined as part of the design for the fire protection of buildings; d) new requiremen

12、ts for the protection of electrical equipment against water have been included; in the lift well and on the roof and walls of the lift car; e) new measures to prevent water ingress into the lift well which are to be preferred over measures to control the level of water in the lift pit alone. The mea

13、sures considered are described in a new Annex E on water management. f) clauses dealing with the rescue of trapped firefighters with rationalized requirements for movable ladders and reduced maximum distance between consecutive landings have been revised. The use of fixed ladders and rope ladders ha

14、s been deleted; g) new requirements for the interface between firefighters lift switches and the control system have been included; DIN EN 81-72:2015-06 3 h) new requirements have been included for dual entry lift cars where not all the safe areas to be used in firefighting operations are on the sam

15、e side, i.e. more than one car door could be used during firefighting operations; i) requirements for the control system have been revised and new requirements have been included for cases where a firefighters key switch is used in the lift car (subject to negotiation); requirements in Phase 2 have

16、been revised for car doors to close under constant pressure on a car call button or on the door close button, and for opening; j) a new informative Annex J on maintenance requirements has been added. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either

33、by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2015 and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2017. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CE

34、NELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 81-72:2003. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Direct

EN 81-72:2015 is a full revision of the standard which reflects developments since the publication of EN 81-72:2003 and experience

DIN EN 81-72:2015-06 EN 81-72:2015 (E) 6 Introduction This standard is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100:2010. Firefighters lifts are used to bring the firefighters and their equipment to the require

45、d floors. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered is indicated in the scope of this standard. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standar

46、d take precedence over the provisions of the other standards for lifts that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. The following assumptions were made in writing this standard. Negotiations have been made between the owner, customer, building designers, fir

47、e authorities or other relevant bodies and installer concerning: a) the intended use of the lift; b) environmental conditions; c) civil engineering problems; d) interfaces between the lift and the building management system (BMS) or fire detection system; e) the firefighting strategy; f) smoke manag

48、ement e.g. pressurizing system impact to the lift system such as sway of travelling cables and operation of landing doors; g) water management, and where applicable, the highest permissible water level in the pit e.g. 0,5 m; h) other aspects related to the place of the installation and the rescue of

49、 persons from within the car; i) power supply including regenerative power during secondary power supply operation; j) size of safe area(s); k) the need for an additional firefighters car key switch and availability of the key. Developers and architects will need to take account of National Building Regulations in providing a suitable fire resistant structure of the building, safe areas, fire detection and extinguisher systems.
