3、ished in accordance with a decision taken by CEN/TC 185 to adopt, without alteration, International Standard IS0 8839 as a European Standard. The responsible German body involved in its publication is the Normenausschu Mechanische Verbindungselemente (Fasteners Standards Committee). Previous to its
4、adoption, the IS0 Standard referred to was in any case applicable for all bolts, screws and studs made to the relevant DIN IS0 Standards. Hence, even without the decision of CEN/TC 185, it would have been necessary to adopt it, in line with the policy of the Normenausschu Mechanische Verbindungselem
5、ente providing for the gradual adoption of IS0 product standards as German Standards. In substance, this standard conforms with DIN 267 Part 18, except that titanium and its alloys are no longer covered. This standard applies for all bolts, screws, studs and nuts covered in existing DIN IS0 Standard
6、s and future DIN EN Standards and is also to be implemented in the case of products still manufactured to DIN Standards in which reference is made to DIN 267 Part 18. Following the positive result of the PQ, CEN/BTagreed to submit IS0 8839 : 1986 with the following modifications to Formal Vote. Bolts, screws, studs and
17、 nuts with mechanical properties according to this standard can be used in cases where corrosion resistance or electrical conductivity are required, but no special requirement in view of these properties are specified in this standard. 28、al I 4 Mechanical properties 5 Mechanical properties to be tested When tested at the standard reference temperature of 20 OC (see IS0 1) using the methods described in clause 6, the bolts, screws, studs and nuts shall have the mechanical properties set out in table 2. NOTE - In case of high forming
