9、ment and of the Council of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy1). As a result of national implementation in Germany, the following action has been taken: The English version of ISO 10304-1, subclause 5.10.1, first paragraph, second sentence, con

10、tained a wording error. This error has been corrected in the German version of DIN EN ISO 10304-1, and correspondingly in the English version. Former text: “In order to minimise the growth of bacteria or algae, prepare eluents freshly after 3 days”. Translation of new German text: Care is to be take

11、n to prevent any subsequent intake of gases (e.g. by using helium as a barrier). Likewise, the explanations of symbols l and n in the key of Table A.2, which were erroneously interchanged in ISO 10304, have been corrected in the German and English versions of DIN EN ISO 10304-1. The same applies to

12、an entry in Table A.5 (M 21 River water, o in %), which has been corrected from 2 9 to 2,9. In connection with clause 7 (Sampling and sample pre-treatment), acids shall not be used for the purpose of preserving samples. 45、taff. 1 Scope This part of ISO 10304 specifies a method for the determination of dissolved bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, nitrite, orthophosphate and sulfate in water, e.g. drinking water, ground water, surface water, waste water, leachates and marine water by liquid chromatography of ions. T

46、he lower limit of application is 0,05 mg/l for bromide and for nitrite, and 0,1 mg/l for chloride, fluoride, nitrate, orthophosphate, and sulfate. The lower limit of application depends on the matrix and the interferences encountered. The working range may be expanded to lower concentrations (e.g. 0

47、,01 mg/l) if an appropriate pre-treatment of the sample (e.g. conditions for trace analyses, pre-concentration technique) is applied, and/or if an ultraviolet (UV) detector (for bromide, nitrate and nitrite) is used. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the
