National foreword The text of ISO 3166-1:2013 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 46 “Information and documentation” and has been taken over as EN ISO 3166-1:2014 by Technical Committee CEN/SS F17 “Administrative documents” (Secretariat: CCMC). The responsible German body inv
6、olved in its preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationswesen (NABD) (DIN Standards Committee Information and Documentation), Working Committee NA 009-00-10 AA Lnderzeichen. ISO 3166 was first published in 1974. It was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 46 in collabor

12、o/country_codes In Germany, the DIN-Normenausschuss Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationswesen (NABD) (DIN Standards Committee Information and Documentation) has been appointed as the responsible committee for this International Standard. NABD is also responsible for issuing information on changes to DIN
13、EN ISO 3166-1. These are usually published on the NABD homepage (www.nabd.din.de) at approximately the same time as ISO publishes the ISO 3166-1 Newsletter. NABD has also set up an information service which provides current information on changes to DIN EN ISO 3166-1. DIN EN ISO 3166-1:2014-10 3 The
14、 names of countries listed in the German version of DIN EN ISO 3166-1 are taken from the official list published by the Federal Foreign Office in Germany and the corresponding lists in Austria and Switzerland. Where a German country name is valid in only one of these countries or different forms are
15、 used, this is indicated in the German version of this standard (does not affect the English version of this standard). Changes to German country names and/or codes as compared to the previous edition of this standard are also indicated (does not affect the English version of this standard). The Ger
16、man version of EN ISO 3166-1 alphabetically lists the German country names as used in Austria and Germany. This listing is in accordance with DIN 5007-1:2005-08, 5.1.1.3 (as regards umlauts).
