SCOPE. This com
2、mercial item description covers the requirements for general purpose trunks for wear by male and female military personnel. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The trunks shall be available in the following sizes: Extra-Small (XSM) (26-28) Large (La (38-40) Small (SM) (30-32) Ex tra-Large (ZG) (42-44) Medium (MED) (
3、34-36) Extra-Extra Large (XXLG) (46-48) 3. SALENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 Descrbtion. The trunks shall be a boxer-style with a covered elastic waistband and a concealed drawcord, bound V-notch at outer leg seam, double-lapped and double-stitched seams except for the notch binding and hem, and a 5 inch b
4、y 5 inch back patch pocket on the right side with a button closure. The patch pocket shall be 3-1/2 inches e 1/2 inch) from the top of the waist band to the top of the pocket and 1-1/2 inches and 0.2 percent sodium metasilicate, O-S 604, Sodium Metasilicate, Technical, Type I. 7、A-A-50527B The dyed cloth shall show a minimum rating of 4 when tested for colorfastness to light when tested in accordance with AATCC 16, option A. When a color change equal to Step 4 on the Grey Scale is evident in either sample being evaluated or the standard sample, exposure shall be continued f
8、or the additional number of hours at which the color change was apparent. Specimens which do not show a color change until 80 AFUs shall be returned to the machine for a total exposure period not to exceed 140 hours. 3.2.2 Liner. The fabric for the liner shall be 100 percent tetra-channel polyester
9、fiber or equal, plain weave, weighing 4.0 to 4.5 ounces per linear yard (50 to 60 inches wide) when tested in accordance with ASTM-D-3776, Option C, and the color shall be gray or natural. The samples shall be conditioned as directed in ASTM-D-1776 prior to testing. The size of the liner shall be su
10、itable for the trunks. 3.3 Elastic. The elastic webbing for the waistband shall be white, 2 inch wide cotton, polyester, or a cottodpolyester blend. The weight of the webbing shall be 1.25 ounces per linear yard with a minimum thickness of 0.048 inch. The elastic webbing for the leg openings of the
11、liner shall be white, 1/4 inch wide, weighing a minimum of 0.28 ounces per linear yard, with a minimum thickness of O. 16 inch. Both elastics shall have a maximum of 50 percent elongation when tested in accordance with ASTM-D-4964. The elastic shall comply with the finished measurements in Table I.
12、Test procedure for weight shall be in accordance with ASTM-D-3776, Option C and test for thickness shall be in accordance with ASTM-D-1777. The samples shall be conditioned as directed in ASTM-D- 1776 prior to testing. A thickness gauge of the dead-weight type equipped with a dial graduated to read
