The coats shall be available in sizes small, medium, large and extra large. Material. The basic fabric shall be cotton or polyester/cotton sateen cloth, weighing
7、a minimum of seven ounces per square yard dyed to a dark olive green shade and shall be in accordance with the requirements in table I. Cotton duck cloth. The cotton duck cloth which covers the pads shall be an olive green shade to approximate the basic material and shall be in accordance with the r

The pads shall be constructed from 1/4 inch thick felt. The pads shall be cross stitched and edge stitched with a double row of stitching to provid
12、e stability. The area of measurement cited for all pads shall be the center of the length and the center of the width. The elbow pads shall be 8-3/4 inches wide and 17 inches long and shall be placed 1 inch from armhole. The shoulder/pulse pads shall measure approximately 11-1/2 inches wide and 9 in
13、ches long. The shoulder/pulse pad placement shall be 4 inches from front finished edge and 1 inch from shoulder/neckline seam. The pad shall have a slit opening 3 inches from the bottom to allow free arm movement (see figures 1 and 2). Fiqure. The figure is furnished for information purposes only. I
14、f there are any inconsistencies between the written Commercial Item Description and the figure, the written Commercial Item Description shall govern. Pocket and Flap. The pocket shall be placed 3/4 to 1 inch below the shoulder/pulse pad 3 inches over from finished front edge. The finished pocket sha
15、ll measure 6-1/2 2 1/4 inches long and 5-3/4 f. 1/8 inches wide. The pocket flap shall be placed 1/4 to 1/2 inch up from the top of the pocket and should measure 2-1/4 2 1/2 inches long at the center point. Thread. The thread shall be cotton or polyester/cotton and dyed an olive green shade. Buttons
16、. The buttons shall be plastic, 30 line, and an olive green shade. Buttonholes. The buttonholes should be clean cut, eyelet end taper bar type or rectangular with bartacks at each end and properly positioned to fit the 30 line buttons. Label. Each coat shall have a printed or stamped label at the ba
17、ck of the neck containing the size and national stock number (NSN). A printed or stamped label shall be placed inside the right facing near the bottom of the coat containing the contract number and contractors name or a combination label may be used at the back of the neck. Patterns. The government
18、shall furnish a single size pattern. The contractor is responsible for grading patterns for additional sizes. After completion, the coats shall be thoroughly cleaned and all loose threads, lint and foreign matter removed. The coats
22、shall be uniform in quality and shall be free from irregularities or defects which adversely affect performance, reliability or durability. Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain inspection records indicating that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of
23、this CID, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications standards, and quality assurance practices. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the

The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description an
25、d that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contra
26、ct. Reliance on contractor QA systems shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or i supplies submitted to the government for acceptance comply with ) all requirements of the contract. 4 Examination. Coat lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling
27、 Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control Dimensional Examination. The finished coat shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as a defect
28、. The sample unit shall be one coat; the inspection level shall be S-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 2.5. Visual Examination.
