Abstract. Police of the Department of
2、Defense. and Class 2 is used by the Navy and Marine Corps. The pistol lanyard is intended for use by the Military Class 1 is used by the Army Classification. The adjustable lanyard shall consist of nylon covered cotton core braid, ending in a metal snap hook with lanyard shall be adjustable to a maximum length of 35 inches, and be capable of holding a pistol. The bottom keeper shall be adjustable
6、and capable of stowing excess braid; top keeper shall be free for adjusting purposes. Bottom and adjustable keepers will be secured by means of staples. One end of cord shall be seared and stapled to the adjustable keeper with the end extending approximately 1/8 inch beyond the edge of the keeper. T
7、he other end of the cord shall be secured, after threading through the swivel eye by zigzag machine stitching (type 308 9- 14 stitches per inch). The bottom keeper shall cover the wrapping and stitching as a tight fit. (See Figure i). swivel; and held together with three plastic keepers. The o Mater
8、ials: Braided Cord: Core Yarn: The core yarn shall be made from cotton and shall be four ply, bleached or unbleached. Nylon yarn: The cover yarn shall be two or three ply, multifilament high tenacity. Braid: The cords shall be braided with nylon yarn over a minimum of 5 ends of cotton core yarn. The
9、 cores shall be braided on a 16 carrier machine with a minimum of 2 ends per carrier, with carriers set in pairs, giving a interlacing of over-one and under-one basket stitch. Finish: The finish of the yarns shall be a bright finish Color: nylon. Class 1: The nylon yarn shall be white (undyed). .Cla
10、ss 2: The nylon yarn shall be Camouflage Green 483, and show good colorfastness to laundering and to light. Snap Hook with swivel: Hook and swivel: The 1/2 inch snaphook shall be made of steel and shall conform to Waterbury Buckle Company Part No. 402 or equal. The snaphook after being fully depress
11、ed, shall snap shut with no gap between the spring and the hook. The coating shall level out to a uniform continuous dry film of uniform black color and shall have of no film. 4, no objectionable orange peel, wrinkles, drops, streak
13、s, or areas Keepers (Top, bottom and adjustable): The 3/4 inch keepers shall be made of extruded vinyl-chloride-acetate copolymer plastic in a black color and in the thickness, shape, and size shown on Figure 1. All keepers shall be the same size and shall show no hardening, cracking, warping, or di
14、scoloration after being subject to laundering, dry-cleaning and accelerated service. Staples: The wire for the staple shall be zinc or cadmium plated steel of 0.018 inch nominal thickness and 0.043 inch nominal width. The crown width of the staple shall be 1/2 +/- 1/32 inch and the leg length of the
15、 staple shall be 7/16 +/- 1/32 inch. Thread: The thread shall be cotton conforming to type I, 3 ply, ticket No. 30 of A-A-52094. Workmanship. After completion, the finished lanyard shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all loose thread, and foreign matter removed. The item shall be free from irregulariti
16、es or defects which adversely affect appearance, performance, reliability or durability, such as cuts, frayed cord, cracked or damaged keepers or imperfect snaphook. f Product Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of their intended production. The Product Demonstration Mo
17、del will consist of units independently developed. Product Demonstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration
18、Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accor

Defects. defects: any hole, cut, tear, seriously affecting serviceability; open seam, badly shaped, or definite variation in color, any stain seriously affecting appearance, stitching excessively tight or loose.
