6、 The duck for the types I and II, class 1 aprons shall be dyed Camouflage Green 483, approximating color chip 34094 of FED-STD- 595 in accordance with CCC-D-950. It shall be mildew- and water- repellent-treated in accordance with type I, class B, inhibitor (d) or (e) of CCC-D-950. The duck for type
7、II, class 2 aprons shall be shade natural, and when specified (see ordering data) shall be mildew- and water-repellent-treated in accordance with class B, inhibitor (d) or (e) of CCC-D-950. The thread shall be polyester and shall conform to type I or II, class 1, subclass A, size F of V-T-285. For t
8、he types I and II, class I aprons, the thread shall be dyed Camouflage Green 483, approximating color chip 34094 of FED-STD-595, and for the type II, class 2 aprons, the thread shall be natural color. The dyed thread shall show “goodll colorfastness to laundering. The tape for both types shall be co
9、tton, 2 inches wide for the waist belt of the type I apron. For the type II aprons, the tape shall be 5/8 or 3/4 inch wide for the neck and tie tapes and 3/4 inch wide for the binding. For the types I and II, class 1 aprons, the tape shall be dyed Camouflage Green 483, approximating color chip 34094
10、 of FED-STD-595, and shall conform to type I, class 4 of MIL-T-43566. For the type II, class 2 aprons the tape shall conform to type I, class la of MIL-T-43566. Type I. The type I apron is a waist type with two reinforced box-style pockets and a belt of tape. The belt is equipped with four metal sli
11、de loops, which may be adjusted to form compartments to accommodate tools, and is fastened by a male and female connection (see Figure 1). 22、524 O Labels/markinq. Each apron shall have an identification label conforming to type IV, class 5, of DDD-L-20. The colorfastness to laundering requirements of DDD-L-20 shall apply. Label/taq. Each item shall be individually bar-coded with the type VIII, class 17 label/tag of DDD-L-20. This label/t
23、ag shall be located so that it is completely visible on the item when it is folded and/or packaged as specified and causes no damage to the item. Patterns. The Government shall furnish a single size pattern. The contractor is responsible for grading patterns for additional sizes. The pattern general
24、ly provides for a seam allowance of 3/8 inch for joining seams. Commercial patterns may be used in lieu of the Government-furnished pattern provided they conform to the cited design and finished measurements. Workmanship. After completion, the finished aprons shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all loo
25、se thread, lint, and foreign matter shall be removed. Product demonstration model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of their intended production. demonstration model will consist of units independently developed. evaluated by the Government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are co
26、ntained in the solicitation. Product demonstration models will be retained by the Government. One (i) product demonstration model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are ad
27、vised that the product demonstration model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance with the commercial item description specified above. Requlatorv reauirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public L
28、aw 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
