SCOPE. This commercial item description covers shdknee guards for riot cont
2、rol (SGRC) to be worn by dismounted military personnel for protection of the knee and shin during civil disturbance operations. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The hard plastic shinknee guards for riot control shall be of one type in the following sizes (see 7.4): Medium Large X-Large 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
3、 3.1 General. The shdknee guards for riot control, hereafter referred to as shidknee guards, shall be the manufacturers commercial product except for any changes necessary to comply with the government requirements. 3.2 Material The shmknee guards shall be manufactured from a high impact hard plasti
4、c for the outer shell material to produce a durable, rigid (not soft) shinknee guard . The shdknee guards will cover and protect the front of the knee and shin (see 7.3). 3.4
6、 Padding. The shinknee guards will include interior padding extending beyond the edges of the outer shell to cushion the impact of objects hitting the rigid cover/outer shell. 3.5 Durability. The shinknee guards will be made of high quality materials, that are highly resistant to wear and decay and
7、easy to clean and maintain. They will be capable of satisfactory performance after a minimum of five years of storage and transportation in climatic categories stated in paragraph 3.12. 3.6 Flexibility. The shmknee guards must allow for normal flexibility at the knee and ankle joints. The shinknee g
8、uards must provide protection at flexibility points. 3.7 Fasteners. The shdknee guards will have three to four adjustable fasteners and straps that are simple to operate and should not restrict blood flow. Fasteners must allow for quick removal by medical personnel. 3.8 Utility. The shdknee guards s
9、hall be ambidextrous. 3.9 Shape. The shinlknee guards shall be shaped to curve and conform to the natural curvature of the knee, leg and ankle. 3.1 O Color.
