The complete PIN shall be as follows: 04056 _ Drawing number 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General. The docu

4、ments listed in this section are specified in sections 3 and 4 of this specification. This section does not include documents cited in other sections of this specification or recommended for additional information or as examples. While every effort has been made to ensure the completeness of this li

5、st, document users are cautioned that they must meet all specified requirements of documents in sections 3 and 4 of this specification, whether or not they are listed. 2.2 Non-Government publications. In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes ap

8、plicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. Tool shall be used for polishing termini having 2.5 mm ferrule. See figure 1. 3.2 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or

9、environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.3 Materials. Materials utilized shall be selected for wear characte

10、ristics, especially datum surface A (see figure 1). 3.3.1 Material hardness (datum surface A). Material shall meet the following hardness requirements for datum surface A: For stainless steel material hardness shall be a minimum of 40 Rockwell C or equivalent. Other corrosion resistant materials, ha

11、rdness shall be a minimum of 50 Rockwell C or equivalent. A certificate of compliance shall be required from manufacturers requesting to be a suggested source of supply. 3.5 Marking. Marking shall consist of the PIN as specified herein (see 1.2), the manuf

15、acturers name or Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, and date lot code. 3.6 Workmanship. The fixture shall be uniform in quality and free from any defects that will affect life, serviceability, or appearance. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Sampling and inspection. Unless otherwise specified, sampling

16、 and inspection procedures shall be performed in accordance with conformance inspection specified using sampling plan indicated. 4.1.1 Conformance inspection. Conformance inspection shall consist of inspections necessary to verify compliance to figure 1 and requirements listed herein. 4.1.2 Hardness

17、 verification. Conformance to the hardness requirement shall be verified through hardness testing in accordance with ASTM A 18 in three locations on datum surface A. Note, only one sample shall be subjected to the hardness test, and this sample shall not be submitted for delivery. 4.1.3 Sampling pla

18、n. A sample of parts shall be randomly selected from each lot in accordance with table I, if one or more defects are found, the lot shall be re-screened and defects removed. After screening and removal of defects, a new sample of parts shall be randomly selected using the sample size of the next lar

19、ger lot size specified in table I. If one or more defects are found in the second sample, the lot shall be rejected and shall not be supplied to this drawing. TABLE I. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When packaging of materiel is to be performed by DoD or in-house contractor personnel, thes

21、e personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activities within the Military Service or Defense Agency, or within the military services system commands.
