8、M B117. Workmanship. Manifolds shall be free from cracks, laps, seams, burrs, longitudinal and spiral tool marks, or any other defects that may detrimentally affect their intended use. Marking: The manifold shall be marked with the DSCC drawing Part or Identifying Number (PIN), the manufacturers nam

9、e, trade mark, or CAGE code. The marking shall be permanent and legible in accordance with MIL-STD-130. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials: Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material

10、 meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. PIN: The complete PIN shall be constructed using the following format: 08007 -1 DSCC Dash Requirement number drawing Certification as an approved source of supply: In order to be

11、listed as an approved source of supply for connectors, a manufacturer shall: a. Agree to make available to DSCC, upon request, all pertinent test data on the subject part indicating compliance to the requirements herein. b. Provide to DSCC-VAI, or its designated agent, upon request, free of charge a

Packaging. For acquis

13、ition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order. When actual packaging of material is to be performed by DoD or in-house contractor personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain packaging requirements. Packaging r

14、equirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activities within the Military Service or Defense Agency, or within the Military Departments System Command. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files,

15、 CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. DSCC drawing use. Manifolds in accordance with this drawing are intended for use when military specifications do not exist and qualified military manifolds that will perform the required function are not available for OEM applica

16、tion. This drawing is intended exclusively to prevent the proliferation of unnecessary duplicate specifications, drawings, and stock catalog listings. Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents should specify the following: a. Complete PIN. b. Requirements for delivery of one copy of the qualit

17、y conformance inspection data pertinent to the manifold inspection lot to be supplied with each shipment by the manufacturer, if applicable. c. Requirements for certificate of compliance, if applicable. d. Requirements for notification of change of product or process to contracting activity, if appl
