5、AGE 2 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing describes the requirements for a 1 watt, variable, panel mounted, resistor. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein, the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulation

9、s unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Requirements. Requirements shall be in accordance with MIL-PRF-22097, and as specified herein. 3.2 Interface and physical dimensions. The resistor shall meet the interface and physical dimensions as specified herein (see figure 1,

10、2 or 3). Documentation shall be retained by the manufacturer and available for review by the acquiring activity or contractor upon request. 3.2.1 Optional panel seal. When resistors require the optional panel seal (see figure 4) the letter A shall follow the resistance designator. 3.3 Power rating.

11、The power rating shall be 1 watt at +70oC. Maximum ambient temperature at zero load derating shall be +150oC. The actual effective electrical travel shall be 17 turns minimum and 27 turns maximum. 3.7 Operating torque. Operating torque shall be a maximum of 5.

27、0 ounce-inches. 3.8 Absolute minimum resistance. The absolute minimum resistance shall be 2 ohms maximum. 3.9 Temperature coefficient. The temperature coefficient shall be 100 ppm/oC maximum. 3.10 Contact resistance variation. The contact resistance variation shall be 3 percent or 3 ohms (whichever

28、is greater). 3.11 Maximum voltage. The maximum voltage shall be 400 volts. 3.12 Temperature range. The temperature range shall be - 55oC to + 150oC. 3.13 Marking. Resistors shall be marked with a part or identification number (PIN) assigned herein (see 1.2), and manufacturers name and Commercial and

29、 Government Entity (CAGE) code. Marking shall remain legible at the end of testing. 30、f compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from manufacturers requesting to be a suggested source of supply. 3.15 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible

31、provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and promotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.16 Workmanship. Resistors shall be processed in such a manner as to be uniform in quality and parts shall be free from any defects that will affect lif

32、e, serviceability, or appearance. 4. VERIFICATION 4.1 Qualification inspection. Qualification inspection is not required. 4.2 Conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Inspection of product for delivery. Inspection of product for delivery shall consist of group A and B inspections of MIL-PRF-22097. 4.2.2 Certif

33、ication. The procuring activity may accept a certificate of compliance in lieu of group B inspection. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Packaging. For acquisition purposes, the packaging requirements shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2). When packaging of materiel is to be performed by DoD or in-

34、house contractor personnel, these personnel need to contact the responsible packaging activity to ascertain packaging requirements. Packaging requirements are maintained by the Inventory Control Points packaging activity within the Military Department or Defense Agency, or within the military servic

35、es system commands. Packaging data retrieval is available from the managing Military Departments or Defense Agencys automated packaging files, CD-ROM products, or by contacting the responsible packaging activity. 6. NOTES (This section contains information of a general or explanatory nature which ma

36、y be helpful, but is not mandatory.) 6.1 Intended use. Resistors conforming to this drawing are intended for use when military specifications do not exist and qualified military devices that will perform the required function are not available for the OEM application. 6.2 Ordering data. The contract

37、 or purchase order should specify the following: a. Complete PIN (see 1.2). b. Requirements for delivery. One copy of the conformance inspection data with each shipment of parts by the manufacturer. c. Requirements for packaging and packing. d. Whether the manufacturer performs the group B tests or
