、WG NO. 037Z3 93004 DEFENSE SUPPLY CENTER, COLUMBUS COLUMBUS, OH 43216-5000 A REV A PAGE 2 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This drawing outlines the requirements for a specific member of a family of compact high contact density (.050 inch (1.27 mm), high performance two piece electrical connectors. These connect
、ors are intended for printed circuit board (plug in dual heat sinked daughter board modules, and fixed backplanes) applications utilizing surface mount daughter board and compliant pin backpanel termination techniques. The connector family includes members, which provide combinations of low power si
、gnal contacts, power contacts, shielded contacts and optical termini. The connector family offers severe operating environment performance capability, such as protective hoods, contact sealing, interfacial seals, electrostatic shielding and other advanced capabilities. This connector family is organ
、ized and fabricated utilizing modular design, with available connector module blocks which can be grouped to provide for combinations of low power signal contacts, fiber optic termini, power contacts, and shielded contacts. Specific implementation groupings of these module blocks constitute elements
、 of the connector family. This specific drawing specifies the requirements drawing details a member of the connector family, which is composed of: a. 8 low power blade type contact module blocks. b. 2 fiber optic blocks, each block consisting of 4 fiber optic termini. Which when combined provided a
、total of 300 signal contacts and 8 fiber optic termini. The contact module blocks are enclosed (epoxy bonded) within a ground-plane forming aluminum frame, resulting in a single piece metal shrouded connector construction. The connector aluminum shroud (frame) provides for 3 press fit 8 position key
、ing pins and a center located guide pin, as well as 3 single sided (non-float mount) connector mounting ears and 6 electrostatic cover attachment mounting holes. This assembly mates with DSCC drawing 93005 backpanel connector. The connector features straddle type, surface mount termination for print
、ed circuit daughter card module installation, which will accommodate from .118 to .190 inch (3.00 to 4.83 mm) spacing between the daughter board contact termination planes. This family member does not include module blocks, which contain power, or shielded contact elements. Other members of this con
、nector family, which include these additional capabilities, are included in separate DSCC drawings 93002 through 93013 and 02007. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). The complete PIN shall be as specified on the item requirements drawing and constructed using the following format: 93004 B A 30008
