This drawing outlines the requirements for a specific member of a family of compact high contact density (.050 inch (1.27 mm), high performance two-piece electrical connectors. These connector
、s are intended for printed circuit board (plug in dual heat sinked daughter board modules, and fixed backplanes) applications utilizing surface mount daughter board and compliant pin backpanel termination techniques. The connector family includes members, which provide combinations of low power sign
、al contacts, power contacts, shielded contacts and optical termini. The connector family offers severe operating environment performance capability, such as protective hoods, contact sealing, interfacial seals, electrostatic shielding and other advanced capabilities. This connector family is organiz
、ed and fabricated utilizing modular design, with available connector module blocks which can be grouped to provide for combinations of low power signal contacts, fiber optic termini, power contacts, and shielded contacts. Specific implementation grouping of these module blocks constitutes elements o
、f the connector family. The specific requirements drawing details a member of the connector family which is composed of a grouping of: a. 10 low power blade type contact module blocks. Which when combined provided a total of 356 signal contacts with safety ground. The contact module blocks are enclo
、sed (epoxy bonded) within a ground-plane forming aluminum frame, resulting in a single piece metal shrouded connector construction. This assembly mates with DSCC drawing 93009 backpanel connector. The connector aluminum shroud (frame) provides for: a. 3 press fit. b. 8 position keying pins. c. 6 ele
、ctrostatic cover attachment mounting holes. The connector features straddle type, surface mount termination for printed circuit daughter card module installation, which will accommodate from .118 to .190 inch (3 to 4.83 mm) spacing between the daughter board contact termination planes. This family m
