In case of conflict between this drawing and the detail drawing, the latter shall govern. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 DSCC requ
17、irements drawing. The individual requirements shall be in accordance with the applicable item requirements drawing. 3.2 Design, construction, and physical dimensions. The design, construction, and physical dimensions shall be as specified in the applicable item requirements drawing and herein. 3.3 M
18、aterial. The material for each part shall be as specified herein, or equivalent. Substitute material shall meet the performance requirements of this drawing. 3.3.1 Contact body. The contact body shall be phosphor alloy in accordance with ASTM B139, ASTM B159 or CuZn30 H14 in accordance with CDA260 o
19、r one-half hard phosphor bronze strip in accordance with ASTM B139. 3.3.2 Insulator housing. The insulator shall be nylon or glass-mineral-filled in accordance with ASTM D4066 or glass filled thermoplastic in accordance with MIL-M-24519. The body shall be plated with 30 microinch
21、es (0.76 m) minimum of gold in accordance with ASTM B488, type 3, code C, class 0.76 in the contact area (preplating is permissible) over 50 microinches (1.27 m) minimum of nickel in accordance with SAE-AMS-QQ-N-290, class 2. NOTE: When contacts have been provided in strip form, the absence of plati
22、ng in the area where the contact was removed from the strip is acceptable provided it is in a nonfunctional area and any corrosion formed as a result of salt spray testing does not creep into contact mating area. 3.5 Design and construction. The receptacle shall be a two-piece assembly having two in
23、terconnected contacts retained in a plastic housing. The female end of the contact shall interface with .025 inch (0.64 mm) square pins on .100 inch (2.54 mm) centers. 3.5.1 Mating. The connector shall be capable of mating and unmating by hand without the use of special tools. 3.5.2 Workmanship. Con
24、nectors shall be uniform in quality and shall be free from burrs, scratches, cracks, voids, chips, blisters, holes, sharp edges, or other defects that will adversely affect life or serviceability. 3.6 Electrical characteristics. 3.6.1 Current rating. The maximum current rating of the connector shall
25、 be 3.0 amperes dc. 3.6.2 Contact resistance. The contact resistance when measured in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 307, shall not exceed 15 milliohms, before test and 20 milliohms, after test; the following details shall apply: a. Method of connection: Attach current and voltage leads as show
26、n on figure 1. b. Test current: 1.0 ampere dc. c. Sample size: 20 percent of connector population. NOTE: Different in contact resistance between various terminal configurations represent changes in the bulk resistance due to longer lengths of currents paths; correction for these differences in bulk
27、resistance will permit comparison of results for different styles of terminal, see 3.6.4 and 3.6.5. 3.6.3 Low level circuit resistance. The low level circuit resistance shall not exceed the value specified in 3.6.2 when measured in accordance with MIL-STD-1344, method 3002, the following details sha

The insulation resistance of unmated connectors shall not be less than 50,000 megohms (20,000 megohms after exposure of the humidity environment described in 3
30、.8.1) when measured in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 302, the following details shall apply: a. Test conditions: B (500 volts dc). b. Point of measurement: Between header posts and outside bottom of shunt insulator closes to the contact body. 3.6.5 Dielectric withstanding voltage. There shall
31、be no evidence of arc-over, insulation breakdown or excessive leakage current (1 milliampere) when the unmated connectors are tested in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 301, the following details shall apply: a. Test potential: 800 volts rms at 60 Hz. b. Test duration: 60 seconds. 3.6.6 Capacitan
32、ce. The capacitance between pairs of adjacent or opposing contacts, in an unmated connector, shall not exceed 2.0 picofarads when measured, in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 305, the following details shall apply: Test frequency: 100 kilohertz. 3.7 Mechanical characteristics. 3.7.1 Contact rete
33、ntion. The contact pair shall not be dislodged from the housing when an axial force, specified in table I, is applied in the direction of mating pin insertion. The force shall be applied at a crosshead speed of 0.10 inch (2.5 mm) per minute and the maximum load shall be maintained for 10 seconds. 3.
34、7.2 Total mating force. The total force to the terminated connector with an appropriately populated header consisting of properly configured see figure 2, .025 inch (0.06 mm) square pins shall be 350 gram force (12.3 ozf) average. 3.7.3 Total contact insertion force. When measured using a maximum ga
35、uge configured as shown on figure 3 or 4, the shunt insertion force shall not exceed the values specified in table I. 3.7.4 Total contact withdrawal force. After three insertions of a maximum gauge, the force required to withdraw a minimum gauge, configured as shown on figure 3 or 4, shall be not le

After 50 mating cycles the individual contact withdrawal force shall be not less than the values shown in table I, see 3.6.2, the following d
38、etails shall apply: a. Gold plating thickness: 30 microinches (0.76 m). b. Spring thickness: 3.5 mils (88.9 m). 3.8 Environmental conditions. 3.8.1 Humidity. Within 1 hour after exposure of the mated connector to a high humidity environment, the insulation resistance of an unterminated connector sha
39、ll not be less than 1,000 megohms (see 3.6.4), and the contact resistance of a terminated connector shall not exceed the value specified in 3.6.2. The test shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 103 (excluding steps 7a and 7b); the following details shall apply: Test duration: 240 hours. 3.
40、8.2 Thermal shock. After exposure of an unmated connector to alternate periods of extreme high and low temperature, there shall be no evidence of cracking of crazing of the insulator housing or other physical damage to the connector. After the test the dielectric withstanding voltage of an untermina
41、ted connector shall not be less than the appropriate value specified in 3.6.5 and the contact retention shall not be less than 2 pounds, see 3.7.1. The test shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 107, test condition A; the following details shall apply: a. Test condition: A (five, 1 hour cy
42、cles). b. Temperature range: -55C to +120C. c. Exposure time at each temperature: 30 minutes, minimum. d. Transfer time: 30 seconds, maximum. 3.8.3 High temperature life. After exposure of the connector to a high temperature operating environment, the contact resistance shall not exceed the value sp
43、ecified in 3.6.2, the following details shall apply: a. Test chamber temperature: 120C of contact under load. b. Test duration: 200 hours. c.
